HUGE HUG!!!!!!! Welcome!!!!

Hey that is dynamite!! 20 lbs!! way to go there girl!! So what are you doing?

I started off thinking that I had to do tons of aerobics to lose weight. It was so hard to stay with it. Now I am taking a more moderate approach to excercise, doing muscle strengthening and stretching more than knocking myself out, But I did find that i am being much more rigid with what goes in my mouth. Having cut out all white flour and sugar and even processed carbs like bread and pasta ( I still use some whole grains and starches like beans and potatoes in limited amounts) has completely eliminated my cravings. This is really a major breakthrough for me since I think most of the battle i have always had is wrestling with what I now is good for me verses what tastes good! I am making much more objective decisions now about what I eat based on what my body needs without the emotional in the way.

My weightloss has slowed down but it is still happening and as of last week I am at -73 + 1/2 lbs. Moon and i were talking last week and both of us feel we should start taking more measurements since it seems there is more going on than just what shows up on the scale. I only lost 1 more lb but fit in a pair of jeans that previously seemed way to small, so more than just that 1 lb. is changing. I can only assume that I am gaining muscle as well as losing fat.

Sorry i didn't post sooner, but I was away since last Thursday night and just got back last night. I am so excited that our little group here is growing in numbers while shrinking in individuals' size!! LOL!
