Thanks for the advice about meals. That sounds like a very very viable way of getting in my nutrition all the time, not just on work days. And carrying some extra "ammunition" in my apron at work will definetly help me curb hunger (usually with waiting tables you don't get an actual "break" - you just steal a few moments when you're not busy and no one's looking!) so I won't be tempted to grab shrimp chips (i work at a thai restaurant!) or Thai iced tea for a sugar boost (it's FULL of sugar and laden with cream! sooo yummy but soooooo sinful.) If I carry some veggies or nuts, etc I know I will be less likely to make bad choices out of desparation.

I also find that loading up on veggies at dinner time (ones that I LOOOVVVE, like portabellas, spinach, eggplant, zucchini, string beans, sauteed sweet onion) make me less likely to miss "side dishes" like rice or noodles. With some sort of protien source (usually shrimp, a soy protein burger or tofu), I feel REALLY satisfied. It's just difficult to prep these foods all the time because I'm busy a lot and not home as much! This leads to convienience foods and eating out, which makes healthy choices hard to make.

Dreemy, a carnival? Oh boy. FUNNEL CAKE. Waffles and ice cream. Lots of sweet treats that I loooooove. I'll have to be careful, and either STAY AWAY completely (which won't happen with all of my friends home from school!) or just make sure I'm ARMED when I do go. Perhaps I'll allow a liiiiitttle bit of funnel cake, and give the rest to BF or another friend. And I'll be sure to swipe a piece for you, hehe.

Well, that's all for now. Tonite I get WEIGHED (hehe Dreemy), so wish me luck! According to my home scale, I'm about 7 pounds away from my initial goal. If I am successful in taking off that weight, I'm going to try to take off another 5. Baby steps! We shall see!!

Peace,
Scarlet
