.. the pit is basically a large sunken arena constructed outside with cover provided for stands. there are only two doors leading into the pits, heavy wrought-iron doors which the competitors are shoved through to pit. the flooring is sand, and in daylight its hot enough to burn soft flesh. pit fighting is a bloody sport, obviously that's why it's common in vampiric slave trade. ..
