The SJSU game was great. $5.00, you cannot beat that.

I have to disagree with the comments that the Owners are the ones not being reasonable. The Owners created this problem and they do not deny that. Blame does not change the reality of the league. Of course the players want to play....they are making millions. Their salaries are a larger percentage of revenue than any other professional sport even though hockey is the least popular. Hockey is a business and NO business will continue to exist if it loses money year after year with no hope of that changing. The NHL wants to take the average salary of the players from $1.8 million to $1.3 million. That is unacceptable to the union. They are turning down $1.3 million.....are they nuts!! Unions were established to protect employees safety and provide health insurance. Unions were not created to insure millions and millions of dollors per year for its members. The union argues that they must have a free market system. A free market system would be union free, players would have one year non gaurented contracts (you do not perform you are fired, just like the rest of the real world) and every year they would have to earn a spot on the team by working their talls off at camp to earn a spot on the roster. The players better get smart real soon before they destroy the goose that laid the golden egg. Sorry, but I have no sympathy for anyone who has earned millions more than they should have based on the health of the business they are employed by and continue to make childish comments like "I did not cause the problem, It is not my fault". I would not have accepted that kind of answer from my kids when they were 5 let alone from a multi millionaire professional athlete.
