I wouldn't necessarily agree with that. I am not a gold digger, and I couldn't really give a shit about how much money these guys make. They are HOT. If I was a gold digger, you can bet that I would be ogling basketball players, or even some baseball players, which make 10-20 times more than your average 1-2 million dollar hockey player. LeBron James is worth something like 30 million dollars, plus all of his endorsements, and I couldn't care any less about that. I think hockey players (some, not ALL) have that raw sexuality that women flock to. They play a tough game, and basically get to beat the hell out of people for a living. They represent what is considered "manly", so of course women are going to jock that. I'm not saying that there aren't people on here that simply want a sugar daddy, but for me, it's more about all that testosterone, and actually playing a game with skill.
