There is an amazing 15 year old jazz drummer from Flint, Michigan who is scaring people to death. His name is Matt Smith. He has his own voice already and nerves of steel. He is going to be quite famous soon. Of this I have no doubt. I just saw him today at the Heat Strokes Competition in Chicago and he destroyed an entire roomful of adult drummers who were going up against him head to head. I also hear he is a national finalist in the Louie Bellson competition. He's also a good kid with a level head on his shoulders. I'm telling you, watch out for this guy.
