As of today, per the official UT spring roster, the Vols enter the 2009 season with the following talent already on campus:

4 5-star players
14 4-star players

That's a total of 18 'elite' type players. They are scheduled to have 11 true freshmen arrive in August fitting the same bill, which gives them POTENTIALLY, 31 elite players. FYI, and for comparison, Bama, LSU, and FLA are all over 60.

Perhaps most alarming is this: of the current 18 elite players on campus, 9 are Seniors, and another is Junior Eric Berry. They will lose all 10 of these this season.

Please don't bother with tired argument of "stars don't matter" - yes they do, particularly when looking at a collective group
