Emcee has an outline to help reviewing, and it's quite alright to say, "I just don't think this is the way the characters would react."

I am a hard core redemptionista, but in reading the past sessions B/A fics, and B/X, I can see why people are passionate about them.

in a story about a ship you do not like. You might like the style of writing, the authors descriptive ability, or the way the characters are portrayed.

The other point it to try and objectively review other stories, on their, interesting-ness, character development and dialogue, instead of the fact that the story is about a ship you don't want.
