Hi everyone,
I'd love to start hearing about some recommendations for our first selection but I think it would be better to discuss off the board... what does everyone else think??
I'm not on the computer much so would prefer to do this by email.

If we need to talk about how we are going to pick a story, we should get cracking.
I think that the rules are pretty simple - we in the team decide what fiction (or 2 fictions if we use NC-17 we need another one) best represents the spirit of slashy-ness. I personally would vote for the best written fic that stays true to the characters as they are in the show. I am willing to read anything that anyone suggests.
We are a small group and time is somewhat limited so I think that we should start suggesting possible stories now so that people have a chance to start reading. I have suggested one fic below and am hunting around for other stuff. My email is listed above.

just wondering if we have decided which fic to rec, it's due tomorrow right? I sorry I haven't responed to the emails I am having issues with mine namely I don't know what I'm doing. Since most of you guys are m/m we can go with that if you want you decide.

I may be m/m but my plan for being here is to read some fics I would never read on my own. We won't always be able to go with majority rules because then it would always be m/m.
I'm just wanting to find good fics amongst all the bad!
I won't be around much in the next while as I am getting married next Saturday. My votes is for the Pat Kelly story but whatever the group chooses is fine too.

I have no real problem with the Pat Worthy story, but I just wanted to put in a ;for what it's worth' vote for Anna S's new story 'Sidelines'. It's S/X slash, set in season 4, and captures Spikes and Xanders voices beautifully. A bit melodramatic in parts, but still fantastic.

I was eh with the Pat Kelly but am ok with it.
From everyone's suggested stories, I liked:

"Strawberry Road" by Chelle is a Buffy / Faith fic set
after Season 3. Rated NC-17 - good but pretty disturbing. Not exactly slash affirming in a PC sort of way.
