The Damned-Prologue

By: Lilliana Foster Langly

Sum: When Mulder, Scully, The Gunmen, Jimmy and Yves get help from another Agent. The more they learn the deeper their graves.

Note: I don’t own Mulder, Scully, The Gunmen, Jimmy, Yves or Roland. Even thought I wish Langly was mine… put that isn’t the point.
But I do own Lily.

Prologue

Lilliana Morgan Foster “Codename: Goddess” (and a FBI Agent) walked down the street. It was night, minute to midnight to be exact. Lily heard footsteps behind her, when she was just about to turn around when she felt a gun to her back.
“If you even think about turning around or screaming. I’ll shoot you now. Got that?” the man demanded.
“You should be the on screaming.” Lily said, coldly. Whipping around she kicked the gun from his hand and grabbed him by the throat before he could even blink. He tried to break her grip but the more he did the tighter she held his throat. She wasn’t human, she was a 6,000 year old vampire with the grace, power, body and strength of a Goddess. She carried him into an alley, where she covered his mouth, and bit into his neck. Draining him of most of his blood she whispered ‘forget’ into his ear and when he awoke he wouldn’t remember. Her cell phone rang.
“Hello?” she asked.
“Could you meet me at the Hoover Building in 10 minutes?” a familiar voice asked.
“Yes.” She said, climbing into her car. She drove home and picked up some clothes, then went to meet her friend.

Summary:
Hero Jimmy…only in his dreams!
Date Finished: June 12, 2001: First Fic EVER!

The Lone Gunmen Headquarters
7:30 a.m.

Frohike, Byers and Langly stand huddled together in front of the red couch at the back of the warehouse. The television was still on but only airing ‘snow’. Jimmy was sprawled out with his limbs dangling over the edges.
“He’s twitching like a dog,” Langly laughed as he watched Jimmy move as if he were chasing something.
Byers fought the laugh building inside and behind a smirk he replied, “Let’s just leave him alone. We still have a deadline to meet.”
Langly pouted, “I was just gonna mess with him a little…”
Frohike laughed and watched Jimmy’s hands scratch at the air, “I wonder what the big guy’s dreaming about..…”

* * * * *

(Jimmy’s Dream)
The Lone Gunmen Headquarters
8:00 a.m.

They’re sitting around the table..…actually waiting for me. I smile and start dishing out the pancakes I’ve made.
“Thank you,” Byers smiles when I drop two pancakes on to his plate. Langly and Frohike reply the same way.
I take my seat at the small card table, that doubles as a kitchen table. The newspapers are all piled neatly for me to go though. I was looking for the *truth* that wasn’t printed in the pages.
“I stacked them this morning, Jimmy.” Langly smiled brightly looking for praise.
“But I did it yesterday…..” Frohike chimed in.
“Thank you…..all of you,” I smiled. *‘It’s about time they realized how much I really mean around here’ * I start flipping through the newspapers as the guys watch in awe.
“Find anything Jimmy?” Langly chews on his pancake.
‘He looks up to me so much..…’ “Hello!” I stood and all three sets of eyes are on me and all three sets of ears are ready to listen to me. It’s a great feeling…the guys looking up to me.
“It’s right here as plain as day,” I begin, “In the sport scores…..the numbers are codes…..military codes.” The explanation came so clearly to me. The government was using sport scores to send military codes. Sadly this point didn’t come as clearly to the guys..… *sigh* oh well..… I start to explain to them, pointing at the paper, “See these numbers? Well……”

10:00 a.m.

After explaining to the guys about just how the scores are codes and how it leads back to the government I decide I needed to get information on my theory.
Frohike pulls out the stool for the worktable for me and Langly passes me his laptop. Byers just watches in quiet awe as I point and click my way through the internet.
“What are you looking for?” Langly asked with childish curiosity.
“Proof,” I replied, trying to concentrate on the hacking job at hand.
“Oh…..” he pretended to understand, “Need anything?”
“It’s my turn to get him something!” Frohike complained and the two men started to bicker like children.
I shook my head, “It’s okay guys….. I’m fine really!”
Langly stuck his tongue out at Frohike.
I continued to type and click the mouse. I felt nervous as all three of them watched me….. staring over my shoulder as I stared at the computer screen. “Yesss?”
“We’re just observing Jimmy,” Byers replied with a large smile on his face.

It was getting hard to concentrate with them looking over my shoulder and asking questions, I had to get them out of my way. “You guys wanna do me a favour?” I smiled.
All three Gunmen smiled from ear to ear and replied, “Yes Jimmy?”
“Great…I need you to..…er..…” I had no clue where to send them. Looking at the newspaper I realized, “Would you go to the store and get me the sport stat sheets?”
“You need us all to go?” Frohike frowned.
*Crap! Did he realize I was just trying to get rid of them? * “It’s really important.” I told him and he smiled. I sighed, he bought it.
“We’ll be right back,” Byers told me as the three of them slipped out the door and began to pile into the VW Van.
*‘Ah, peace and quiet’.*

1:00 p.m.

The guys still weren’t back yet and hadn’t called or anything. It wasn’t like them to do that, especially Byers. I sat in front of Langly’s laptop no longer looking for proof, I was bored. The phone rang and jumped up to get it. “Lone Gunmen Newspaper Group, Bond, Jimmy Bond speaking,” I always wanted to answer the phone that way.
“Mr. Jimmy,” the voice replied, “I have something you might be interested in.”
“I don’t buy into telemarketers,” I told the unfamiliar voice.
“I’m not selling anything..…” the man groaned, “I have your colleges here…” He held the phone up and I heard the guys yell.
“Byers! Frohike! Langly!….. what have you done to them?” I was really worried about them.
“Nothing –Yet!” His voice was booming in the phone, “But if you don’t comply I will be forced to.”
“Alright..…what do you want?” I listened carefully for background sounds in the phone. Thankfully I didn’t hear any screaming, but I didn’t hear anything else either.
“It’s simple….. I just want you to exchange all the *proof * you’ve found about sport scores for these *men *,” He told me.
“And that’s it? A simple exchange?” I asked him. It sounded far too easy.
He chuckled dryly, “Of course.”
Ah huh! An echo…off …yes…ceramic walls! They’re in a locker room! *‘Man this stuff is easy’ *. Just had to figure out what locker room?… Where?…. Okay, this isn’t that easy.
“Alright, but I want to make sure they are okay before I hand over the research,” I was going to be firm here. No one gets away easily after taking my friends.
“Of course Mr. Jimmy,” Again with the dry laugh..…and his teeth are chattering.
*A HOCKEY ARENA! * Where’s the closet one… ?
“Well…where we gonna do this, man?” I couldn’t know him know I knew where he was…kind of.
A long pause… too long.
“It has to be discreet of course,” he finally said.
“Of course,” my turn to use the dry laugh. If he makes a point that it must be discreet…..he must be in a public area. *Where did I learn to think like this?* I know where he is..…where they are. “Where are we gonna do this?” I was impatient now. *Watch it now Jimmy, don’t get excited…you’ll screw it up. *

“Anxious are we?” he said a worried about my excited tone.
“Of course, you’ve got my friends,” a good and true cover.
“Fair enough,” he replied, “The South Side access road, two hours.” He hung up.

Okay. I’ve got under two hours to get to the rink and save the guys. Easy enough.

Steward’s Ice Rink
1:30 p.m.

Ah, the only rink between the store and the access road. This is where they had to be. I figured I should be incon…..inconspic..… I figured I shouldn’t draw attention to myself so I slid into the back door of the rink. I crouched down under the rink wall.

It was a pee wee hockey team practice. I figured I was wrong and was about to leave when I spotted them. The Guys! They were sitting on a bench, all their teeth were chattering. Poor guys aren’t very good with the cold. I realized that I stumbled onto another story..… “Pee Wee Hockey: Government Front” This was great..…but I needed to save the guys first.

I waited until the kids were off the ice and into the locker room. My guess was that the “coach” was the guy who called me. Evil Bastard! At least he wasn’t messing with football. Once he wasn’t facing the ice I stood up and walked onto the ice…

“Hey yo…” BAM! I landed butt first on the ice. Oh man…

The guys all stood, “JIMMY!”

I stumbled to my feet and attempted to walk over to them BAM! *’Man who’d of thought that ice would be so slippery’ *

“Mr. Bond,” The ‘coach’ said to me, “Cleaver of you to figure out where we were.”
I smiled, “It was pretty easy,” *‘if only getting up off the ice was as easy’ * I stumbled to my feet again and carefully walked closer to where they were.
He gave that dry laugh again and pulled out his gun, “Stop right there.”
“You could have just asked me nicely,” I replied, rather cleverly I think.
“Oh, but I am being nice,” he stepped forward onto the ice, aimed his gun and cocked it.
*‘Oh crap’ * I closed my eyes and waited…..than heard it BAM!

Wait…..that wasn’t a gun shot. I slowly opened my eyes..… ‘Coach’ was lying on the ice. He had fallen. I slowly reached down to check for a pulse..… there was one, but he was out cold.
“Jimmy?” Byers stepped up tot he edge of the ice.
“He’s just unconscious,” I explained.

The Lone Gunmen Headquarters
4:00 p.m.

I was finishing up typing out my stories, “Sport Scores Used To Trade Secrets” and “Pee Wee Hockey: Government Front” the guys were all crowed around me again.
“You really did it this time Jimmy,” Langly smiled.
“Yeah, way to go!” Frohike slapped me on the back.
“Thanks guys,” I was all smiles.
“Very good Jimmy….Jimmy…Jimmy……”

* * *

The Lone Gunmen Headquarters
7:45 a.m.

“Jimmy,” Langly was shaking the larger man, “Come on…..Get up!”
Jimmy’s eyes slowly started to open, “Where…..Where am I?”
“Oh great he’s delusional!” Langly rolled his eyes.
Byers scowled the tall blond, “You’re in the warehouse Jimmy.”
“Oh…..It was all a dream,” The sleepy man realized. He looked up at his three friends standing over him, “You were all there…”
“Oh great! Next time you wanna dream about me can’t you do it in your own place,” Langly backed away from the couch.
Jimmy smiled sadly and started to get up.
“You know it’s fine if you fall asleep here Jimmy,” Byers smiled at him, undoing what Langly’s word’s had done. “Now let’s get some work done..…”
“Yeah, I can’t seem to work without you standing over my shoulder,” Frohike laughed as he patted Jimmy on the back.
Jimmy’s smile brightened, and than he thought, “Have you guys ever *really* looked at the sport scores?”

THE END

* * * * *

This is my first attempted at Fanfic… so let me know what’s good and what’s bad? Thanks!

Spoilers: One Breath, The Blessing Way
Summary: Byers has been keeping something from Scully.
Notes: Season 9? What’s that? Hehe
Date Finished: May 5, 2002

Trust. It all comes down to Trust. She’s admitted to trusting me, all of us in fact. Not in so much as words, but she’s told us. She’s come to us for help looking for Mulder. She’s trusted us with the news of her unborn son. She’s shared fears and knowledge of the government with us. And now, for eight years I have been betraying her trust.
I should have told her years ago…..at the very least when Melissa died. We could have mourned together. But I was just too ashamed.

When Scully was in the hospital, returned as Mulder puts it, we all went to see her. We just thought it was best to go one at a time. She didn’t really know us yet, and besides all three of us at one time can be a little much to take. So I went on the third day. I figured no one else would have been in the room, but I was pleasantly mistaken. I know it’s improper of me to find a pleasantry in visiting a friend in the hospital, especially when she appears to be on the brink of death. But it was pleasant. There she sat, diligently at her sister’s side. My first glimpse of Melissa Scully. Her head was hung down, and she didn’t seem to notice me. At least I didn’t think she did, so I planned on slipping out of the room the same way I slipped in.
“Byers?” She perked her head up, “You don’t have to go. She wants you to stay.”
The statement surprised me. She knew my name, and seemed to suggest that Scully had told her. Langly warned me about her. Said she was some “new aged chick” and really freaked him out. Talking about how Scully thanked him for coming even if she hadn’t expected a visit from him, or any of us. Now that says something, to freak out Langly. Even Mulder never freaked out Langly.
I turned back to face her, and Scully, “I didn’t want to disturb you. You seemed like you were….”
She wiped under her eyes and smiled faintly. She had a beautiful smile. “We’re doing fine,” She patted Scully’s hand, “Aren’t we Dana?” Her voice cracked a little and so did her bright face. She buried her face again.
I rushed to her side, handing a handkerchief to her.
“Thanks,” she laughed. I’m not sure if it was at herself or at me for carrying a handkerchief in the 90’s.
“Are you sure you’re alright?” I asked, taking notice of how red and swollen her eyes were.
She smiled again, “You’re everything she says you are.”
I’ll admit, she was on the weird side. But so is Mulder and, I guess we are too.
“It’s good to know she’s saying nice things,” I know my smile had to seem like I was humouring her, “She is saying nice things, right?”
A small laugh escaped her, “Of course Dana wouldn’t say anything bad about anyone,” and again she cried.
I patted her back until she calmed again.
“I’m really sorry,” she apologised, regaining herself, “I shouldn’t be this negative, she might take it as a sign,” she glanced at her younger sister, than up to me.
“You want to get a coffee or something, and I don’t mean this hospital stuff,” I suggested, motioning toward the small pile of styrofoam cups that had formed on the bed-side table and the state she was in. I don’t think she had left Scully’s side in hours, or even days.
She took a moment to think it over, gave Scully’s hand a squeeze and agreed.

We went to a little, close by coffee-house. It was pretty busy, but much more comfortable than a hospital room. The change in atmosphere seemed rejuvenate her, but she still seemed tired and sad. Understandably of course.
We sat in silence for a while. She sipped from her cup and I, surprising myself, watched her.
“Thank you,” she spoke first, “I needed this.”
“I thought you might,” Okay, so I’m not the best at conversation sometimes. I had just met her and it was a difficult time. So I was unsure of just what to say. I just swirled the coffee around in its cup.
She reached across the table and took my hand, “Are you alright?” Her eyes searched in mine, “How well did you know my sister?”
I thought back on our few meetings. What a first impression we must have made on her. Our rag-tag trio. “Not well,” an honest reply. I didn’t know her yet as anything more than Mulder’s sceptical partner, but there was great respect in her convictions.
She still seemed to search, still holding on to my hand, “I can sense something…” It was more like she was just talking, but not really to me, “…missing.”
I squeezed her hand back, nodding. I’m not really sure just what it was that was missing, or anything. But I did feel that something was missing, something between the two of us.

It all happened so fast after that. And I was the most surprised at myself. I’m just not the kind of guy who does that sort of thing. It wasn’t me. Well, it was, but it wasn’t. It all unfolded with out my participation. Actually, I did participate physically, just not mentally.
How an innocent coffee ended up this way, I have no idea. I’ve come to believe that it was just that we both needed something. And it just happened to be each other, for one time anyway. We had made it to a motel. She said she was staying there while Scully was in the hospital. It was just easier than driving up everyday. And there we were, in her room, desperately seeking to fill what was missing.

The next I heard of her was the news of her death, her murder. Mulder broke the news as more of an off comment, explaining why he--and Scully hadn’t been around. We all expressed our sympathy for Scully and her family. But I felt like something had been taken, and couldn’t say anything about it. The way he said it hurt a bit. Not that he would have known it effected me. No one knew. No one knows now. That’s when I should have told her. Than, at least, I could have..…we could have mourned together or something. But how do you tell someone something like that anyway? It wasn’t the time to say something like that. Still I could have been there for Scully.
Been there for the woman who now puts all her trust in me while Mulder’s missing. A woman who believes we are the only ones she can trust. A woman’s whose trust I’ve betrayed almost the whole time I’ve known her. A woman who couldn’t trust me if she knew I had a one-nightstand with her sister. It all comes down to it, breaking it and fighting to regain it. Trust.

Title: Drops From Jupitor

Summery:
Langly meets and tries to help a girl, who’s a little like him.
Note: the “O” in Jupitor is not a type-o. That is her name. I wanted it to be different from the planet. Also the title is inspired by the Train song, “Drops of Jupiter”.
Date Finished: June 12, 2001

The Lone Gunmen Headquarters
2:30 a.m.

Byers and Frohike were asleep. I could tell by their snoring. It could wake the dead. I couldn’t go to bed, I was just to close to winning. One more level and I’d be crowned “King Langly” again…without Frohike to unplug it.
“Fuck!” I yelled as the computer created voice told me, ‘You’ve got Mail’ as the In-box popped up –disconnecting the game.
“This better be damned good…” I muttered to myself.
‘Something you might be interested in’ an intriguing subject but the sender was blank. I figured it must be some advertising or something and was going to delete it when I remembered I had a SPAM blocker. And this was my personal email –no one had it. So, I checked it.

Richard Langly,
I have some information that may be of interest to you and your publication. I cannot list what it is I know here. It is unsafe, as I’m sure you understand. If you are interested, come to the All Night Diner on Maguire at three a.m. I will be waiting.

~A.

Well that was vague. But it did manage to get my attention. But should I really go out after a story without the guys knowing, and after such an unexpected email message? Yeah, might as well, I’d really like to get my hands on whoever disconnected my game! And anyway the walk over to Maguire would cool me down a bit. I closed my laptop, grabbed my jacked and left.

All Night Diner
3:03 a.m.

There were more people there than I thought would be. For three a.m. this place was busy. How was I supposed to know who this… ‘A’ person was? Then I spotted her, it just had to be her. She was in the back of the diner in a booth, staring into a cup of coffee. It had to be her. She was the only normal looking one sitting by herself. I don’t know why she’d be sitting all alone if she wasn’t waiting for someone. She was cute. She had a sweet face and long blond hair down just past her shoulders. (You know I’m parcel to the hair.) I smiled and she looked up, like she knew I had noticed her.

She eyed me for a few moments. Like she was trying to figure out if she could trust me. I thought it was better if I went over instead of staring at her from across the diner. There’s a stretch; me thinking it was better to go over and talk to a woman.

I walked over and she never took her eyes off me. She was watching me.
I cleared my throat, “I’m…Langly.”
She waved her hand for me to sit as she looked around to see if I was followed. She was paranoid. This must be some stuff she’s got!
She leaned across the table, “I’m Anderea Jupitor.” She whispered so no one other than me could here it.
“So, why did you email me?”
“I...” she started to explain when a waitress came over to the booth.
Anderea hid her face as she asked what I wanted.
“What she’s having,” the older woman gave Anderea an odd look as she walked away.
Once the waitress was out of earshot she looked up at me again and continued, “I have the proof that the government is using spy satellites..…and I have the access codes.” She turned her head again when the waitress returned with my black coffee.

Could she really have all this information? Is it even possible for a non-government official to get their hands on this shit? Was she lying?
As if she knew I was questioning her in my mind she pulled a diskette from her backpack, “It’s all on here.” She slid it across the table, but didn’t take her hand off on it. She was staring at the waitress. Who was on the phone, but watching Anderea.
“What is it?” I felt dumb asking.
She leaned across the table and whispered in my ear, “Wait five seconds, than follow me.” She took back the diskette, grabbed her backpack, knocked her coffee off the table and bolted out the door.

This is nuts! Even for me…..but the worst part was that I followed her. I left much slower and less chaotic than her exit, even taking the time to leave two dollars for the coffee. As I walked down the street, I didn’t see Anderea, but I did see the dark Sedan pull up to the diner and three men in dark suits get out. “Jesus!”

I continued down the street when someone grabbed my arm and pulled me into the ally. Their hand covered my mouth and whispered in my ear, “Shhh!”
I could tell it was Anderea, I could smell her perfume. Her breath sent shivers down my spine. She took her hand off my mouth but kept speaking in my ear, “After the Sedans come the black vans and more guys in suits.” She never took her eyes off the street.
“This happen a lot?” I whispered to her, but she wasn’t listening. Two vans had pulled up to the diner. The men from the Sedans shook their heads. She grabbed my hand and pulled me down the ally. “Where we going?”
“To my place,” she was running fast, dragging me behind her and frantically looking behind us to make sure we weren’t being followed.

We entered the apartment building through the side service entrance.
“Do you ever use the front door?” I had to break the silence. It’s not like me to be quite.
She laughed. What a cute laugh, she should do it more often. “I like to sneak in and out of places,” she pulled me into the elevator and pushed the “5”.
“I don’t know how people can’t notice you,” oh man, I was blushing!
“Hmm,” she smiled but watched the numbers light as we past each floor. She seemed to have relaxed when the doors opened on the fifth floor.

We walked down the hall to her apartment, number “56”. She went to open the door but stopped, it was already open.
“Fuck!” she threw her arms up.
I slowly pushed the door open. From the dim lights in the hall you could see that place was trashed. Someone ransacked it.
“All my stuff,” she covered her face in defeat and leaned against the hall wall.
What was I supposed to do? Or say for that matter? A simple “there, there” didn’t seem right. When I was about to pat her shoulder she looked up.
I pulled back, “Hey, I wasn’t…”
She put her finger to her lips, “Shhh.” She stared down the hall, “The elevator.”
I turned to look and saw the number light, than she pulled my arm and started for the stairs.

We ran down the five flights of stairs and out to the parking lot.
“Do you still have the *proof *?” I remembered why I was there, while I caught my breath.
“Yeah,” she pulled her laptop out of her backpack and set it up on a car hood. “It’s all there,” she turned the screen to face me.
I walked over. Ohmigod! It was all there. Government files, official memos, pictures and a code sheet. “Wholly shit!” I turned to her, “It’s like a wet dream! Everything is here!” I was excited.
She wasn’t. She looked like she was far, far away. She was staring up at the sky.
“What is it?” I walked over to her.
“When I little I used to stare at the sky all the time. It was the only place that was free. I never thought about government bullshit,” she pointed to the computer, “The stars were all I saw and the mystic of them.” She laughed at herself. “Do you think I’ll ever be able to do that again? After all that?” she pointed to the computer again.
I walked over to her and put my hand on her shoulder. I didn’t answer her. We both knew the answer, but neither of us wanted to make it real by saying it, stealing all the magic.
She gave a sad laugh, like she was fighting off tears and leaned back on me. I let my arms wrap around, to hold her. It seemed like she needed it and I think, I needed to do it.

Our still moment was broken by a voice in the shadows, “I really hate to break this up,” he stepped into the light, Morris Fletcher. “I know how little *Blondie * gets to touch real women.” He laughed at his own joke.
“Fletcher,” I let go of Anderea and stepped closer to him.
“Aw you remember me, I’m touched,” he pulled out his gun.
I stepped back.
“Yeah, you wouldn’t wanna play hero now,” he rolled his eyes. “I’m just gonna take this and go.” He stepped closer to the car the laptop was sitting on. “Nice of you to leave it out for me.” He closed the laptop and tucked it under his arm.
“You bastard!” Anderea yelled at him, she looked like she was going to snap.
“Now, now. No need for such name calling,” Morris waved his gun from side to side as he walked closer. “You know you’re kind of cute,” he looked her up and down, “You don’t need to hang around with *The Lone Nerd * here. You could have better,” he motioned to indicate himself.
She looked like her skin was crawling, “Ew no.” I smiled and laughed.
Morris didn’t find it quiet as amusing, “Suit yourself.” He nodded to the two men who came out of the darkness behind us, “Thank you again.”
CRACK! The one man brought the butt of his gun down on the back of Anderea’s head. She fell to the ground.
“You really are a bastard,” I said as the second man did the same as the first to my head.

The Back Parking Lot
5:34 a.m.

Oh man… I rubbed the back of my head. Why do they always hit me in the same place? Fuck! I sat up. Still kind of dizzy so I leaned against the building. I rubbed my head again. I looked around and saw Anderea still on the ground, curled up in the fetal position. This must have been some night for her, hell it was some night for me. Wait…..she was knocked out before me, she should be up before me.

I crawled over to her and heard she was awake. She was sobbing.
“…..hey..…” I put my hand on her back, “You okay?” I can’t deal with crying women.
She sat up and fell against my shoulder, “I’m..…fine,” her voice was cracking and she was wiping under her eyes.
“…..how’s your head?” I couldn’t stand how quiet it was. I felt the back of her head, just a bump but she started to sob again. “Is it your head?”
She curled up against me; “They just stole the last two years of my life.”
Again I had nothing to say to her. There wasn’t anything I could say. We just sat there.

“Are you are you want to go through with this?” the women’s voice was soft and gentle, “You seem nervous.”

“It’s been a long time since I’ve done this actually. Can you tell?” Langly smiled sheepishly.

“Not at all,” her fingers swept across his neck causing him to jump a little.

“Yeah, I am nervous,” he confessed.

She laughed sweetly, “I promise to be gentle.”

“Thanks,” he blushed, feeling almost like a child.

“Now are you sure you want to do this? It’s a big decision,” she gave him another chance to back out. And he wanted to take it.

“No, I really need this,” he was determined to go through with it, “Truthfully I sort of feel like a freak for not doing this in SO long.”

She smiled at him. That sweet sympathetic smile.

“My friends are actually pressuring me to be here. They’re the ones paying you for this,” he smiled.

“Well, I’ll be sure to give them their money’s worth,” she giggled as she continued to prep him.

His breathing and pulse quickened.

“Are you ready?” she spoke close to his ear.

He nodded slowly feeling his throat tighten and squeezed his eyes shut.

“Aw, don’t worry, I won’t hurt you,” she giggled again as she lovingly brushed his hair back off his face.

He smiled, but kept his eyes shut.

“Brace yourself,” her voice seemed to take on a husky tone.

Langly bit his bottom lip as he heard the first *snip*. He slowly opened his one eye and peeked in the mirror, a single, inch long blond lock on the floor. Slowly more fell until a light dusting of hair lined the floor behind the chair.

“All done,” the woman beamed, “Now that wasn’t so bad, was it?” She asked as she removed the plastic cloak from around his neck.

“I guess not,” he checked the length in the mirror.

“It looks a lot neater now. And you know a trim now and than is a good idea,” she smiled at her helpful hint.

THE END

NOTE:
This was inspired by a thread on the Fox X-Files Forum, about how long Langly’s hair is getting. This is dedicated to who ever started that tread. :)
