Hi, I have recently moved to SSC from Sydney and now live in Caloundra. I have 2 beautiful Eckies 2yr old pair, I travel a lot, am renting & do not have the space I would ideally like for them. They currently live in a big cage that I have inside my house and can also push outside so they get some sunshine. But I feel they deserve to be in a nice big aviary where they can fly around all day long, not just when I'm home to let them out.

Does anyone have a spare big outdoor protected aviary at home where you could house my birds and care for them on a semi long term basis and I could come and visit and see them every now and then?? I know this sounds like a strange request, but well I thought there just may be someone out there who would love the company of 2 gorgeous tame talking Eckies. Once I am settled in a house with some land I would like to take them back, so I am not looking to sell them or give them away on a permanent basis.

However if this arrangement suited it may be a long term thing. I am not interested in breeding them but if they happened to breed I would be happy for you to have their babies. Would need to discuss in person all the details ie in exchange I could also care for / feed your birds if you go away etc.

Hope to hear from someone local on the SSC. Believe it or not I do actually have a friend parrot breeder in Sth Brisbane who is offering to do this for me but I would ideally like to see if there is a parrot lover on the SSC first as I'd prefer not to be living so far away from them.
