Metals Properties and Performance Collection contains all the data and information from four volumes of the ASM Handbook series:
·Properties and Selection: Irons, Steels, and High-Performance Alloys (ASM Handbook, Volume 1, 1990). This volume contains cast irons, low-alloy steels, hardenability of carbon and low-alloy steels, fabrication characteristics, service characteristics, specialty steels and heat resistant alloys, and material availability and recycling.
·Properties and Selection: Nonferrous Alloys and Special-Purpose Materials (ASM Handbook, Volume 2, 1991). This volume contains a guide to nonferrous metals and alloys, special-purpose materials, superconducting materials, pure metals, and special engineering topics.
·Corrosion (ASM Handbook, Volume 13, 1987). This volume contains fundamentals of corrosion, forms of corrosion, corrosion testing and evaluation, designing to minimize corrosion, corrosion protection methods, corrosion of specific alloy systems, and corrosion in specific industries and environments.
·Friction, Lubrication, and Wear Technology (ASM Handbook, Volume 18, 1992). This volume contains solid friction, lubricants and lubrication, wear, laboratory characterization techniques for friction and wear, systematic diagnosis of friction and wear test data, friction and wear of components, materials for friction and wear applications, surface treatments of coatings for friction and wear control.
·Alloy Phase Diagrams (ASM Handbook, Volume 3, 1992). This volume contains nearly 1,000 binary and 300 ternary diagrams, thermodynamic principles, diagram determination and reading, crystal structure, application in alloy design, processing, failure analysis and metallography.
