Bio of EIU rugby said there was little success until a new coach took over. Probably a good coach-but not true. In the early 80's we were one of the dominant teams in the midwest. We won the All ghouls tournament-SIU(12 teams),the University of Indiana tournament(mambo cup), advanced to a National tournament in Bowling green,OH, and posted a victory against University of Illinois.
By most measurements a successful team.
