Within the walled city that had once been home to both Jeff, trapped on the inside, and Alexis, stuck just outside, there was a great debt insuing. There were those to felt that, while the loss of two children was certainly sad, it was not their concern. They did not want to leave the safety of their city.
On the other side was those who felt that, if the city could not protect two innocents, then how could they expect it to protect them and their families.
In the center or it all was two families. Quite different and yet united. Alexis' father was yelling and screaming for justice. He knew his child and she would not just disapear. He wanted her found and he wanted the cities help in finding her. Alexis' mother remained quiet. He eyes down. She did not agree with her husband, but it was not her place to say so. This was his world. These were his people. Let him deal with them if it brought her her daughter back safely. Not that she felt her daughter was in trouble. Not with Monet around.
Nearby was the Ryan's. And tall sender man and his loudly screaming wife. The man had a hen pecked look about him as he tried to both calm his wife and rally some suport. Jeffery really was the type of child who would not just run off. But Jeff's father was not the high ranking, demanding cuss that Alexis' father was. And so the argument went round and round while the children remained lost out in the wilds.

Meanwhile, else where in the world, a handsome pure white tom was getting his ear chewed off nnot by one queen, but rather by two. It seemed that two of his off spring had decided to leave the tribe in search of something more exciting to do and had yet to return. Not a real worry until he understood which of his two young ones were missing.
Nashota and Kaleadora. He should have known. He really should have. Nashota was nothing like her other siblings. Ashur was responsable and easy to get along with. Lashur was hotheaded, but he had great people skills and easily talked his way out of every situation. Dashoba and Mashinka were the perfect example of how a Jellicle cat should be. Dash was a good well mannered tom, and Mashinka was a perfect lady. Goodness, even Rashinka had more sense than her twin sister Nashota. And is Nashota was bad for digging up trouble then her half sister Kaleadora was notorious for finding new places to stir it all up again.
He rolled his eyes up to the heavy side and prayed for help. The everlasting cat knew he needed it. For rasing each of his two most notorious kits was two of the most beautiful, if not demanding queens he had ever had the pleasure of meeting.
"Ladies," he began with an easy smile. "Don't worry. I'll find our missing kits and I'll bring them home. Nothing to worry about."
He tipped each queen a wink. "I promise."
