Nashota's ears flatted back on her head as she spun to look at Gabriel. ::The intire mountain is the dragons lair. To enter it will be death to us all!! I cannot allow you to lead Kaleadora and I into such a place for a boy who does not like us anyway!!:: Her eye narrowed down to tiny slits, ::Why would you do this for that boy anyway? You don't owe him anything!! And he will not allow you near him.::

Gabriel turned to look at Nash with kind eyes before turning to watch Kalea and Dante. Dante looked so happy sitting in Kalea's lap. And the face his had turned up to the young Jellicle was filled with such open trust that it nearly broke 'Riel's heart. ::Because I would want you and Kaleadora to do the same for Michael or Dante if I could not. Because someone has to look out for the weaker members of our world.:: He turn solemn eyes back to Nashota and smiled weakly, ::Because noone else will.::

Nashota's face fell at the shame of her own selfish actions, and yet she could not bare to think of what might happen if she lost Kalea. Her sister was her best friend. Life without her would be meaningless.

Privatly she asked Kalea, ::What do you think?::

Dante played with Kalea's hand for a bit watching as the claws went in and out. Then he turned and poked her in the ribs. ::Are you ticklish? I am! Sometimes Michael tickles me til my tummy hurts. And den he tickles me more until I cry. And den Gabriel makes him stop. I wuv Gabriel! I have lots of brothers, but I don' know were dey went. My mom's dead you know. Sure, dees people comed and dey burned everyting down. And den dey kill my momma. 'Reil says dey were gonna kill us too, but we were too small. And den Gabriel, he comed and he taked us away from dat place and hid us. Did you know dat?::
