I know what you mean. There's something about how people look really happy when the air is cool, the sun is warm and the leaves are golden, orange and red. Much as I hate the winter, I like this early-autumn weather. It's all so pretty, and the kids are so cute when they're excited about Halloween.

Gumdrop and I went over to Terhune Orchards in Lawrence to get some pumpkins. I had the same problem that you did -- couldn't carry a big 'un! So, we got three small ones to decorate, one for each of us.
