THURSDAY:
(1) OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN: (13-5, 25-5) VS. (8) ST GREGORY'S: (7-11, 10-19): What, if anything, motivates the Eagles? Winning a conference title sure doesn't, as their mail-it-in lack of effort at OBU Saturday showed. St. Greg's could have a home crowd advantage, but it won't do them much good in this one. The Eagles only lose blowouts, and Greg's isn't capable of blowing out the Eagles. SEMPERT SEZ: Eagles by 12.

(2) LUBBOCK CHRISTIAN: (12-6, 20-8) VS. (7) U SCIENCE AND ARTS O: (7-11, 10-17): This could be the best matchup of the first round. Both teams can run, and there won't be a whole lot of defense in this one. Semmy really, really wants to call an upset in this one with Lubbock making the long road trip. But at the end of the day, Lubbock's shooters are just better. SEMPERT SEZ: Chaps by 3.

(3) JOHN BROWN: (10-8, 19-10) VS. (6) OKLAHOMA BAPTIST: (9-9, 20-10): Hard to beat a good team three times in a season. Especially when that good team is playing at home with a fan-friendly game time in a playoff atmosphere. The Golden Eagles will have to shoot very, very well to win this one. SEMPERT SEZ: Bison by 5.

(4) OKLAHOMA CITY: (10-8, 17-10) VS. (5) NORTHWESTERN: (10-8, 18-12): The Rangers fell hard during the last two weeks of the season, and now likely find themselves out of the NAIA tournament picture without a strong showing in the conference tournament. As Semmy told you they would at the midpoint, the Stars struggled in the second half as well as the road games piled up. Who wants this one more? There are no offensive stars in this game, so this one will be decided on defense. SEMPERT SEZ: Rangers win the rubber, by 4.

FRIDAY:
(1) OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN: (13-5, 25-5) VS. (8) U SCIENCE AND ARTS O: (7-11, 10-17): This isn't the first-round matchup the Eagles wanted. The Drovers cause all kinds of problems for the Eagles on offense and defense with their relentless attacks. OC needed luck and overtime to win in Chickasha, and they better show up to play Thursday to avoid a one-and-done. SEMPERT SEZ: Eagles by 5.

(2) LUBBOCK CHRISTIAN: (12-6, 20-8) VS. (7) ST GREGORY'S: (7-11, 10-19): The Cavs might have a home crowd advantage, but they better home the Chaps leave their legs in Lubbock for the first round if they want the chance to lose to OBU on Saturday. If the Chaps shoot well, they win easily. SEMPERT SEZ: Chaps by 8.
