Author: Mike [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 14:13:39 03/01/05 Tue Rachel Martin of OC is a Co-newcomer of the year in the SAC along with Miriam Sy but she is only an honorable mention selection when her teammate, Carlissa Plowden, who is also a newcomer is a third team selection. How is Martin co-newcomer over Plowden? Also should there even be co-newcomers of the year when the other selection was Miriam Sy of OCU? You got Plowden on the third team ahead of Martin and Fariss, which I don't get. I like Plowden, but there were an awful lot of games I saw where she wasn't much of a factor. I think if anything you put Fariss (11.8 ppg, best three-point shooter in the conference) on third team, if not second team, and have Plowden and Martin as your HM selections. As for co-NOY, anytime an OC player wins an award like that, you know it's a down year for the conference. :) [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
