Subject: Joseph M & Sarah Jane Gravely

Thank you so much for a wonderful book which contains my Gravleys and Gillespie’s (Jackson & Mary Porter).
On p. 47 you have Joseph (my gg grandfather) M. Gravely’s middle name as McConnely.
On his wife Sarah Jane’s application to the County Pension Board (for his service in Confederate Army), she gives his middle name as McEnally. (I have always thought it was McNalley. That is what Mama wrote in my baby book.) My grandfather is Alfred McNalley Gravley; also Joseph’s brother Lunford Ballenger Gravely named one of his sons Calvin McNalley. In same application Sarah Jane gives her husband’s death date as May 17, 1910.
Also re: Sarah Jane. Is “Fhursey” a nickname? According to Pickens County Census 1860, she is the daughter of David A and Elizabeth Cooper.
