The female gives her head a fervent nod, although the trembling of her petite physique and the wild panic in her hazel eyes seems a naked contradiction of her previously stubborn decision.

Her words are abruptly cut short as another contraction rips through her weakened body like the slash of a razor, a meak cry of pain escaping her pursed lips as she collapses in a crumpled pile of distress upon the hay, the world spinning crazily about her.
