] Date Posted: 19:47:11 07/15/06 Sat In reply to: Koen, Kyan (kinda Kuro) 's message, "Angels Are Smooth...." on 09:38:30 06/27/06 Tue The change in his body and his reception to her touches and presence was almost like static electricity in the air - alive and crackling and very tangible. Nyxia, however, seemed to go unnoticed of these changes until he spoke. His voice was not wavering now, and the smile remained on her face even if it confused her a bit. "Why?" She asked simply, though her eyes said she needed no explanation. Even someone blind could read the feelings rolling off of him in waves of heat. Heat that she was doing nothing to stop. As he leaned in, Nyxia's hands stopped moving. The motions were not halted out of fear for his actions, but out of a keen interest and respect to him. She did not want to distract him if he meant to say or do something - that would just plain be rude of her. The smile on her face softened at his action - one that she recognized as being very intimate indeed. The surprise on his face, however, as he backed away from her could only be intensified by the next few heartbeat's worth of actions. Something inside of her triggered from his action, or at least that was the only explanation. As he sat back, her skin rolled across her body frame. Her silvery eyes slid clossed - not in pain or in bliss - but in compliance with something that only she could hear, could understand, could sense. Those few actions seemed to absorb all the time, freeze it for a few moments, and then everything shoved forward as if needing to catch up with the lost time. Her body -shifted-, human hair retracting into her skull as her hands stopped being hands and became paws. Her spine elongated, her clothes dispersing into thing air. Her body shrunk even as muscles seemed to expand. Her ears shifted up and forward, her nose shrunk as her mouth extended to meet it. And there she sat, balanced effortlessly on her hind legs, a pelt of silver, wavery fur across the sculpted body of an ocelot. Tiny, compared to Kuro's huge jaguar. Small even in comparison to Koen's lynx. With dainty paws and the most beautiful entrancing blue-silver-grey eyes that seemed to swirl amidst those three colors, almost like a tiny universe. She smiled at him in the manner that only another cat could read, her spotless hide a contrast to the breed her form resembled. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 20:05:09 07/15/06 Sat He sat back on his heels, watching the display with amazement. He crawled slowly backwards, towads the place where Ky was passed out. He saw Kuro behind Nyxia watching with interest. No, if nobody else freaked out, neither would he. In truth, the reason that Koen said he had feared himself was the beast inside of him, the thing that took control every so often and wouldn't relenquish it. But, the question was brushed away in his mind by a dozen other questions. What had happened? What caused it? What the hell was he still doing wanting to touch her? The male stopped his backwards track and looked at her, really looked at her. The ocelot was tiny. He could cuddle up with it - no, her - like a stuffed animal. The thought that this used to be Nyxia just wouldn't fit in his mind, like it was being blocked. Maybe he was blocking it. Koen swallowed his heartbeat back into his chest. He took a breath and his eyes became slits, even more of his otherness flowed now. When the shifter spoke, it was low and gravelly, as if his voice box was changing to fit the saying. "I am Koen, and you have no name among the pard. Your presence is only wind outside our cave." Playing the dominant male, Koen tried to still his fluttering heart. His memory of the ancient phrases was still clear and sharp. As if he'd ever forget them. But, speaking them aloud in front of non-pard felt so...wrong. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 20:26:56 07/15/06 Sat She remained on her haunches, sitting much as a human would sit, as Koen seemed to think things through in his head even as he backed away. The way she was sitting was probably only allowed because of her small body frame. Nyxia's attention remained on Koen, even as he seemed to look about the room at the other's in his own worry and anxiousness. Slowly, she could feel him calming down. His nerves began to settle, or at least stubborness seemed to kick in. Her small smile remained where it was, unchanged during his whole affair of freaking out. And had she shifted back to human, it would still be there, eerily unchanged. The bewilderment he held and the questions that were no doubt bubbling beneath the surface - she felt those things too. But she did not speak. Not until after he had finished his own words. The air around her sung with them, knowing them as ancient things like itself. It whispered its words to her, just as tangible to her and possibly her alone as Koen's own words. And then she spoke to him. "The wind itself goes unnamed but to a rare few. I call to it, and it answers me." She slipped down off her haunches, her front paws touching the ground delicately as she strolled towards him. "And it is the wind that breaks the trees, that stirs fire to action, that turns calm waters into turbulence." Her tail swished over her back; it was the most she had said yet. Date Posted: 20:44:14 07/15/06 Sat The words rang through his body, forcing him to remain in his human form. She knew the ancient words, and was allowed to speak them freely. Nyxia had declared herself as dominant and able to defend herself. She had shifted, showed her other half, and waiting. Now, the second half was up to him, Koen, the little lynx shifter. "I...I submit to your dominance. I bow before the wind and pray for the calm. Its strength is too great." And here it was, the part he hated. Koen crawled, literally crawled, on his stomach towards her, offering the left side of his throat. There were faint bite marks already there, telling of dominants far less trusting. The experience he had didn't make it any less scary. The final phrase locked down, almost like a cage around him. He couldn't shift in Nyxia's presence without her permission anymore. Not the eyes, or the skin, or even the cool voice thing. This woman had complete and utter control over him now. Something he was quite used to, comfortable with, said his body. It easily slid into ever position, every movement part of the ceremony. But his eyes, his emerald green human eyes, they said differently. They said but one word - Fear. Date Posted: 20:58:04 07/15/06 Sat Nyxia turned her head to the side, watching and listening. The feline nose brought her no extra sense than what she normally had, the fear radiated off of him now and she could smell it as a physical thing. That was different, but not different enough from what she had had to make her balk. She listened, and considered. Taking a step back at his odd display, she blinked. Her head turned to the side in curiosity, ears flickering over her head. Her tail still swished behind her, tiny body a little beyond eye-level with Koen due to him being on the floor. Even sitting, she would have been staring at his neck. It was plain that she was at a loss of what to do, the wind still around her for the moment. Then she closed the distance between them, laying down with her head on her paws before Koen's prone form herself so that they were eye-level. Inching forward so that her paws were under him a bit, she stretched her nose out to touch the place on his neck. Her mouth slipped open, no breath expelling from her still lungs, and Koen's neck was met with a simple, trailing lick from a petite tongue that rolled up the pulse and to his cheek. A purr rose from deep in her throat, though it sounded little more than a meek kitten's own voice. She rolled then, onto her back with her feet prone into the air and a playful smile on her face. "Do not do that, Koen. You made me, afterall." She chuckled, a sound that came from the thin air itself. Upside down was starting to look like her preferred position to view the world. Date Posted: 21:06:09 07/15/06 Sat The anticipation of the pain that had suddenly become something so gentle. Koen let out a breath he hadn't known he was holding. Nyxia's display of...friendship - that was the word - warmed Koen's heart. The fear evaporated. The male breathed in what felt like his first real breath of air in quite some time. But, it didn't change the fact that she was dominant over him. Nyxia had declared such and always would be such unless Koen had the courage to challenge her otherwise. It still meant that he asked for permission to shift, still had to obey anything she said for fear of punishment from the elders, dead or not. But, for now, Koen forgot all of it. Pushed aside was the pard law, the memory of punishment, and his past. He reached out a hand and tickled the cat's chin, hoping for more purring. Almost painfully, Koen whispered out words in the cat's ear. "Thank you, Nyxia. Thank you so much." Koen wasn't crying. There was just some....dirt in his eye... [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 17:35:35 07/26/06 Wed She smiled around her feline features as Koen released the breath that he hadn't known he'd been holding. Slowly she sat upright as the scent of fear dissipated into the air. It was good that her newest friend was relaxing. It wouldn't be any good at all if he was afraid of her after giving her the gift of this new form of hers. This power, the ability to change species to adapt beyond comprehension to a situation, this was what Dorjan respected of her. As her chin was scratched, Nyxia moved her head forward in encouragement. She'd never figured just how wonderful it could feel to have someone else paying attention to you, but she suddenly felt very compelled to look for such attention from anyone who would give it to her. The purring she had given to Koen earlier only increased in volume, her silve-grey eyes slipping closed as she pushed into his hand with her petite head. Finally, she pulled herself back together enough to speak in response to him. "Do not think of it, Koen." Behind her, the silvery tail waved slightly. "Koen... are you alright?" She poked her nose closer to his face in worry, a single paw raised off the ground. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 19:41:55 07/28/06 Fri He was startled into looking into those amazing eyes at her question. At first, his words were incomprehensible, jumbled together in a sort of mash of words and sounds. He coughed and tried again. "I'm fine, Nyxia. I've never been better." He reached his hand under her chest cavity and lifted her body with only his hand. If she didn't squirm or sturggle, then he would easily hold his hand just a few inches above the ground, balancing her weight. "But, I've been wondering. How could I have done this? To you? What...did I do?" He was suddenly very nervous about her changing back. What if she didn't? Couldn't? If she was a cat for the rest of her...life, or whatever it was, because he had done something stupid? [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 21:18:55 08/26/06 Sat She tried to stiffle the laugh that wanted to escape her throat at Koen's sheer stumbling attempts at speech, but the unfamiliar shape of her mouth made her fail for the most part in that task. Her smile was true though, twinkling in her eyes as he assured her he was alright - even if those words were perhaps less true than she would have normally accepted. Nyxia found the sensation of being held a little awkward, and would have much preferred to be on the ground though she didn't protest his actions. Her tail lashed behind her unespectantly and beyond her own control, eyes fixed on Koen as he spoke. Her nervousness did not seep deep enough to ruin her words, however. "It is nothing that you've done, Koen. Do not worry about it." [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 19:43:50 09/29/06 Fri The male placed the cat's body back on the ground and watched her tail twitch silently. Of course he would worry. Koen had inadvertantly changed one of his only friends into a cat without her being a shifter. That was a scary prospect. Okay, Nyxia. I'll try not to worry." Koen tried to stiffle the feeling of dread that was building in the pit of his stomach. No matter what he tried, the lynx-shifter would no doubt be on the receiving end of some worry. Sitting back on his heels, the young male patted his stomach, which growled threateningly. "Maybe if I'm a cat too, I won't be as hungry because I have a smaller tummy." Date Posted: 11:25:46 10/10/06 Tue x.x She almost didn't need to even ask him what he was thinking - he was simply too easy to read at times. Her tail kept its flickering, perhaps even a bit dual-minded in its actions without permission. Nyxia didn't even seem to notice that it was moving. Nyxia managed another cattish grin in response to Kyan's comment about his stomach, pouncing forward so her small paws were on his knees. "There's nothing stopping you, silly. But wouldn't eating be a better idea?" Her tail wavered behind her, small white head thrust over his body to be almost too close to his face. She certainly had no sense of personal space. Date Posted: 13:28:33 10/22/06 Sun Koen pulled back suddenly at her small leap and jump into his personal bubble. But, being a shifter himself, he wasn't all that uncomfortable with the proximity. Most shifters were oriented around the sense of touch, anyways. "I guess I could eat something." The male leaned his head forward so that his nose was a bit too close to her face. Koen, the usually peaceful one, put on a threatening look. "I like small furry animals in a white wine sauce as my first course." [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
