The doomed? Uh-oh. Sounds forboding. But, true, Ky had no choice in the matter. He slid his had into the vamp's as he neared, his feet bumping against each other and making him stumble. His vision was clouded by white for a moment before clearing. Injured? Who, Ky?

The male shifter inhaled carefully, trying to avoid any movement in his jugular region. But, the cautious movement still caused pain, and he winced, which only caused more pain. Ky closed his eyes for a minute, determined not to burst into tears of pain. Men don't cry. Then again, men also don't become furry ever month.

He looked up the slight height difference at the vampire, hoping that pain wouldn't be at the end of this small trip up the stairs. In reality, it was probably something much different.

.. The vampire sighed, black eyes closing for the barest of moments. Kyan was not in the shape he wanted him to be in, at least not right now. "I'll give you something for your collar. Now, come." He restated himself, slight anxiousness and impatience slipping into his tone. He didn't like to repeat himself, especially to a slave, and he didn't like waiting on someone - no matter the reasoning. For Kyan to be doing both... well, it wasn't making his mood any better.

Instead of waiting for Kyan, he turned and headed out the door with his hands back at his sides. "The study." He reiterated even as he began to walk. He'd made his decision to simply not wait for the shifter. It wasn't doing his headache any good, afterall. ..

The shifter opened his mouth, then closed it, not sure if he was allowed to speak or not. Ky just nodded and followed the vampire as fast as his body would allow him to without tumbling onto the floor. The going wasn't quick, but it was better than the crawling he had just barely managed in order to reach his bed earlier. Standing, what a miracle.

Ky feared what would happen in the study. The Master had impaled him on a stick there; it wasn't something he would easily forget. The male didn't want to go up the stairs, and his body language showed it. However, being the experienced slave that he was, Ky had learned long ago to force himself to do things he wouldn't otherwise dream about. Like, perhaps, following a Master vampire up the stairs towards a study that had held danger in the past and had unknown dangers now.

Kyan pushed his feet up the first few steps and followed the retreating form of the vampire. Ky was scared witless. He didn't have the courage and fortitude to follow orders and stay true in the face of danger and almost certain death. Sorry, Jack. There goes another almost pirate.
