] Date Posted: 15:00:53 12/10/06 Sun In reply to: Krev, Keir 's message, "Maybe It's Jerky" on 14:53:30 12/10/06 Sun .. It was good to know that at the very least the young shifter could listen fast enough to what he was told. Good for Krev, better for Dorjan's own patience. He prefered those who were fast learners over those who were, well, stupid. It never did any good to have one of less intelligence for anything but breeding and feeding. And only then if you couldn't get better. As Keir changed, Dorjan thought over the question he had asked. Ah, that was something to answer indeed. Something that he could be very simple and plain or fairly complicated with. The vampire opted for the simple fact. "Hayden is perfect in his manners, his training, his physicality, and his way of handling clients." Simple, yet misleading at the same time. Handling clients indeed. "2:30, Krev. I'll see you in my bedroom." Short and to the point was all that he offered to the older shifter before he turned from the pair and began to head towards the door of the quarters again. "Come along, Keir." .. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 15:11:54 12/10/06 Sun Keir turned, facing the pair with a confused look on his face. This guy had clients? That meant he was getting paid. Slaves being paid? Keir's brain just couldn't comprehend it. He shook off the thought and stood. He watched as Krev gave a bow to the appointment. Happy about the fact that they'd be together for a little longer. But, when the vampire explicitly told Keir to follow him, the boy stopped. "Krev?" He pleaded with his eyes, asking the older shifter why he wasn't coming. The former pit-fighter gave a small smile and pushed the boy along. He deftly avoided being latched onto and said in an even voice, "Follow your orders. I taught you that much, at least." The sand cat reluctantly walked towards the exit, looking back sadly to his once protector. Krev scoffed, and gave a weak smile. "Keir, we'll be living in the same house. Don't worry." With Keir's concience a little lighter, the boy ran after the vampire. "Sir, can I hold your hand? I'm a little scared." It was almost as if he'd forgotten completely about Krev. Date Posted: 15:33:06 12/10/06 Sun .. Dorjan didn't seem to notice that the young shifter wasn't following behind him. He neither slowed his pace nor stopped to wait for him, but continued on purposefully towards his destination. If the shifter didn't follow along behind him, well, there would be hell to pay. Although he heard perfectly well what it was that was said between the two, and the small feet catching up to him, he wasn't even expecting the voice that accompanied it. It made the vampire stop and look down curiously at the sand cat. Dorjan reached out and took Keir's hand softly, sighing lightly as he stopped in his steps. He kneeled then, in front of Keir and looked the other hard in the eyes for a few moments. Projection was bad. Very bad. "Now Keir, there are some important things that I need you to remember. And if you can promise that you'll do so, then I can make sure you and Krev will be together tonight after dinner." Perhaps, had one of the other shifters in the quarters looked up to see their master kneeling on the floor in front of the young slave, they would have thought him crazy. Everyone else already knew him to be unstable enough to do something so strange. And yet there was at least one slave in the mansion to know that for Dorjan to do so was not uncommon, or unheard of. The master was, after, human at one point. .. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 15:41:09 12/10/06 Sun Two things entered his mind then: 'you and Krev' and 'together'. My, how obsessed this kid was. "I can sure try to do the best that I can, sir." Keir looked into deep black eyes and tried to hold the Master's gaze. His attempts failed and he tried to cover it up by re-buttoning the first button on his shirt. "Are there a lot of things, sir? He was truly going to try his best to get all of these things done to the best of his ability. Eager to serve, this kid was. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 15:53:40 12/10/06 Sun .. Dorjan nodded, though the action was slow. He was very much like Hayden in some aspects, and yet his opposite in others. It wasn't the same thing. The vampire rose to his feet, slowly again, and reached out to take Keir's hand and begin walking as he spoke. "You must listen to what it is that Hayden tells you do to. Disobeying him is just as if you were disobeying me. And he won't hesitate to let you know as much. Next, you must understand that Hayden is not doing well. That's why you're going to take care of him for a little while." Dorjan paused then, looking at Keir as they topped the stairs to enter the main floor of the mansion. He led the other towards the guest corridoor, and into dim lighting. All of the standard wall-mounted lanterns had been transferred to red lights to help save the fledgling's eyesight from being harmed. "He doesn't understand that he is a vampire right now, nor does he understand his own strength and how to control it. He is upset with both of those things." They turned down a corridoor in the guest wing, which had all the lights cut out completely. .. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 16:56:45 12/10/06 Sun Keir nodded at the first of his commandments. The second one... "Me? I'm going to be taking care of him?" was what he choked out. But, the boy continuted to follow. It took a few moments for his eyes to adjust to the dimmer lighting, so he tried to focus on that instead of being caretaker. When the vampire mentioned strength and lack of control, Keir swallowed a lump that had suddenly formed in his throat and unconciously squeezed Dorjan's hand just a little harder. He'd seen a crazy vampire once, right after his graduation from basic training. One of the guests had gone berserk and had brought down both guest wings, the kitchen, and had gotten around to burning the garden before he was offed. Keir could agree that an angry vampire wasn't good. But, at the time, he had thought it was something that the guy had drank. Clearly not. "Uhm...Sir?" The darkness made Keir cautious of where he was stepping, but the boy tried to keep pace with the vampire. "Is Hayden going to be my new Master? Or will he be a client?" And, the kid was picking up a vocabulary list. It'd better not be corrupted with inappropriate words. Got it, Janny, Hayden? [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 17:23:00 12/10/06 Sun .. Dorjan slowed his pace before stopping entirely before a closed oak door of grand proportions. It was one of the suites, with a connected bath and the huge doubleking beds with a canopy. But Keir couldn't see through the door to the subtle beauty of crimson sheets and dark woods. He absently reached out with his free hand to pat the other's head comfortingly. He was asking his newest slave a lot, undoubtedly. Keir would have to sink or swim in this test, and those who sank surely either drowned or were eaten by the sharks. "No. Hayden is going to be your trainer for now." That response came quickly, and it was sharp. But he softened his words in his second sentence of it, calming things out. Questioning his authority was not to be done, even on implication or confusion. "Understand that if you have any fears - true fears that are justified - you can call out for me. But know that if you do so falsely, then I will not listen to your calls again." There was threat to that, that more than just not listening would occur. But Dorjan certainly wasn't saying that. .. Date Posted: 17:34:17 12/10/06 Sun Keir slowed when he felt the pace begin to lag. If there was any light at all, then the cat part of Keir would have been able to absorb some of it and at least make out bague shapes. However, there was no light whatsoever, so Keir was left blinded. The boy nearly jumped out of his skin at the vampire's touch. He at least suppressed the squeak he would have made. A trainer, huh? Maybe for this sex thing? Keir didn't know. In fact, he was so scared that he didn't want to know. But, he was being forced to, so there wasn't a choice in the matter. "I understand, sir." His response came out in a whisper. A shiver went down the blond's spine. He had no idea what was going to happen behind these doors. Well, assuming there were doors. Hopefully, his new trainer would take into account that the living needed light in order to see and allow some. Keir was straining to hear something in the dark besides his own breathing now. When he spoke, his voice came out too loud. "Thank you, Master. I mean, for doing this. I'll try my best." It was the first time he'd acknoledged Dorjan as his Master. Let's celebrate. Date Posted: 17:45:27 12/10/06 Sun .. The absence of light didn't stop Dorjan - obviously - and didn't even seem to really be registered. The fear that the other was displaying, however, was something that was quickly becoming tangible. And fear wasn't good in the sense that it drew vampiric attention like dangling a piece of freshly cut beef leg in front of a ravenous dog with the blood dripping on his nose. Dorjan, at the very least, wasn't attempting to throw Keir to any pack of rabid dogs just yet. He removed his hand from the sand cat's head, letting it drop back beside him where it belonged. "And remember, fear does neither of you any good." Well, that was a rather large understatement on Keir's behalf. But Dorjan decided that he didn't need to scare him any further than he already was. Or maybe he was just being mean again. "You'll do your best. I know you will." With that vote of confidence, Dorjan gave Kier a small pat towards the door in front of his nose. He was going in alone. .. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
