Subject: On the spot report on concert "New Beijing, Great Olympics" (May 2, 2001)

Zhao Wei singing her new song [Qing Shen Shen, Yu Meng Meng]

On Labour Day, the sky above Beijing Workers' Stadium was filled with strains of music. Top artistes from China, Hongkong and Taiwan performed together in front of thousands of spectators to celebrate Beijing's bid to host Olympics in 2008.

The star-studded performers brightened the event up, with Chinese artistes Na Ying and Zhao Wei, while Stephen Chow, Alan Tam and Jacky Cheung from Hongkong arrived specially to celebrate the bid. It was indeed rare to watch such great line-up of regional stars to anchor this extravaganza in Beijing.
