Translation: Is the TV Serie--[Making Stars]--a dark behind-the-scene production of stars' personal life? (Southern Daily)

The Producer said: "I can't believe it!"

Jiang PengYu

The TV serie [Making Stars] that is currently broadcasting during nighttime golden hours on GuangDong TV stations was once
elected by certain media as the "most private" TV series ever. This TV serie, as if a rock starting a thousand waves, stimulated
overwhelming responses. Many medias immediately went everywhere in order to find out exactly how much of the stars'
personal life did the plot and details of the series reveal. Responding to this phenomenal, the producer of the [Making Stars]
said to (me) the journalist in private: "I can't believe this!" The producer Mong, the producer of his show, has had many years
of experience in the performing arts circle. Upon receiving numerous calls from journalists that have also been in the field for
many years, he neverthless only replied to their questions with an official tone, saying that " I have nothing to annonce." The
producer told (me) journalist in private that "I don't really know what to say. Even if I reveal my real intention for filming this
movie, no one believed me."

According to past situations, I, as a journalist, believe that the real intention behind the creation of [Making Stars] is not truely
to "explode dark scenes", but rather to record down what the creator saw personally in the big cities, where millions of
good-looking youngs came, with a "dream to become a star", to "create a world of career" for themselves. The stories
describes young girls who truely wanted to become stars. Without considering any consequences, they did everything they
could to achieve this goal. Thus, they were able to win deep sympathies from people at the end. In the TV serie, the creator of
the show presented the drastic change of "Star # 1"-Chen Xiao Yan (translation of name: Chen Little Swallow) after becoming
famous and the problems she faced with great understanding and kind attitudes. However, since some medias began to
"explode" Chen Xiao yan's life as an exact replica of "Little Swallow", Zhao Wei's life, there have been endless reports in the
acting circle about the appearance of the TV serie [Making Stars] as a "dark behind-the-scene production of star's privacy.

In respond to this phenomenal, many actors/actresses have already expressed their discontent with the endless, flying reports
about this show being the "dark behind-the-scene production of Star's private life" even before the show is broadcast.
However, other stars with intrinsic attitudes only carefully expressed that they would ignore these rumours. However, just from
their "carefulness" of not refuting the reports about the production, it is not very hard to see the stars' real thoughts.

The original intention of the TV serie [Making Stars] is to "free" those stars described in the series from their shame of the past.
Unfortuantely, it is being viewed as a TV serie that is purposely done to explode the behind-the-scenes of the acting circle.
Even though the creator of the show did not expect this result, however beause it has been reported among the medias so
often, the producer of the show is still a big winner--for the TV rating for this show is exceptionally high. Thus, if this show has
been a series narrative with a series topic, maybe it would not hav received so much attention. Looking at it from different
directions, should the producer of the show be happy or sad?
