Subject: How to kvirc proxy

For those who are using Ubuntu you may install Kvirc thru the Synaptic Package Manager
or thru the terminal by typing sudo apt-get install kvirc
Once installed, Open kvirc and the server pop-up will show up, just click Ok.
Go to the Menu and Click Settings, then Configure Kvirc
Click the + sign beside the Connection tab and click Proxy Hosts and be sure to check the Use Proxy option
Right click on the Proxy option and click New Proxy
edit the newly created proxy (name, port, ip address, username and password (if any), and the protocol.
Click Apply and click Ok
Go back to the Menu and click Settings then Configure server or simply type Ctrl + S
Then type the server you want to use or just pick from the list and then click Advanced
Then click the Connection Tab and click the Proxy Server dropdown menu and choose the Proxy you created earlier and click ok.
Wallah! You have successfully configured your kvirc for Proxy use.
P.S. the reason why i created this tutorial is because the first time i used this client, theres no tutorial on how to configure this client’s Proxy Settings. Hope this tutorial will be of great help to all… thanks.
