Could be anything from something is corrupt in your installation of Netscape 4.6, I would recommend going to http://www.netscape.com/ If its a certain site that is causing the error, it very well could be something ON that site causing the problem or that site maybe using Javascript that Netscape 4.6 did not support correctly... current version is 4.73 for Netscape...

Also if you get a chance you may really want to consider upgrading from MacOS 8.1 to MacOS 9.0.4 (its a pay upgrade, but something your G3 will love you for).
