comfortable with and see how it goes. After this pageant you will know more what to expect and what you want to do, as far as clothing, makeup etc. My daughter is almost 15 months and we do a lot of full glitz pageants and I put a hair piece on her and light make up, we also use retouched pictures. I'm going to start using a little more makeup and try some of the self tanner. She has won queen at almost every pageant we have done, 2 pageants I know she beat out the other children because of having a hair piece. Some people absolutely refuse to put make up and hair pieces on their children and if you don't feel comfortable doing it then don't. We only do 1-2 pageants a month and they are at the most 5 hours long so I feel that for 5-10 hours a month it's not going to hurt my child to wear makeup, fake hair or tanner. I don't know how the pageants are in your area, but here even preliminaries have full blown hair and makeup, tans and full southern glitz clothing. I feel like if I'm going to comptete I want my child to be on the same level as what is expected.
