Hi, my name is Leslie and my daughter Syann is 16 months old. I'm trying to get her started in pageants right now and I love this site. I bought a gorgeous dress extremely cheap from ebay and it looks and fits my daughter just right but then I learned from the page on the site about dresses that the white appliques on the blue dress will make it out of style. I was devastated (although very grateful to know ahead of time!) Does anyone have any suggestions on how to dye it all to match without ruining it? I'm not able to buy expensive dresses as I have 3 children and my family of 5 lives off of one income (I'm a stay at home mom). I'm also having a bit of trouble getting started out. I've been told that Sunburst is a really great pageant but I can't get any responses from them (I've e-mailed them several times) and through web searches I haven't been able to find anything that looks legitimate. Also, my daughter has really fine hair and I'm not really sure what to do about it. I don't know how to use a child's hair piece (I never even knew they existed until I read this page!) or where to buy one. I could really use one or two good friends to help me through the beginning of my daughter's "pageantry career." (LOL) So if anyone could tell me (1) what to do about her dress, (2) what to do about her hair (3) how to get in touch with sunburst or any other legitimate pageant or anything else that might be of any help I would really appreciate it. Also, I'm not really sure how to get her to perform (she is only 16 months). Please feel free to e-mail me with any suggestions/advice. Any responses would be greatly appreciated as I would love for her to really enjoy pageants.
