Try doing a banner "campaign",on california pageant boards and on the bravo board. Get some good quality banners, maybe 3 different ones and advertise on the boards. Start a website and offer guestbook drawings for fees off, do photo contests for fees off and this will get people entering. After they have enbtered the contest they will probably come anyway. Make the pageant attractive to people all over the country for maximum contestant numbers and remember, make it fair with no COI and give good prizes. People will learn that yous is a good pageant by word of mouth after a while and they will try it and if it ood, they will come back and bring friends with them. Giood luck I hope I heled some!! Post a reply!

Hi, I too am a new pageant director from Northern Maine. This is a remote area with little opportunity for girls to compete without traveling at least three hours. I had to cancel my first pageant in February and now have only four entries thus far for May. I have done advertising by making posters that hold brochures and posting at the malls, grocery stores and any other place that has a public bulletin board. I have created a website (www.geocities.com/pinetreepageantry) and have done banner campaigns on New England message boards. Also, since my granddaughter and neice are both very involved in pageants (and we are tired of traveling, LOL) I have created a pageant email list from other pageants who send mass emails to advertise and email possible contestants about once a month or when deadlines are approaching. I always make sure to include something that allows them to be removed from the list, but have been lucky and had only 1 out of approximately 100 who asked to be removed. Hope this is somewhat helpful.
