My four year old daughter is into pageants and she does quite well winning titles. We try to do the more natural and low glitz circle so many ask that you not use falls or any fake hair pieces. All the other little girls have hair down to their waist , but my daughters hair is thin, fine, short (just past her shoulders) I guess it hasn't been a problem I usually do curls but I have to battle with them to keep them intact throught the whole pageant....(and you know how long that is!) Do you have any other suggestions for doing her hair?? Thank you!

I understand your frustration....what about pigtails or a half ponytail and flipping the ends up?

I am an 18 year old girl that has competed in several local pageants. I have 3 younger sisters that also compete, one of which is 9 years old, and her hair is short, thin and fine. We always do our own hair. My secret is to use foam rollers on damp hair, but you have to sleep on them for atleast one night. Redken makes a great hairspry called WillPower, about $10. It will hold through a tornado. You can also use the Redken spray on dry hair with hot rollers or an iron, but be sure to use it both before and after curling. Good luck in the future pageants!
