I am an 18 year old girl that has competed in several local pageants. I have 3 younger sisters that also compete, one of which is 9 years old, and her hair is short, thin and fine. We always do our own hair. My secret is to use foam rollers on damp hair, but you have to sleep on them for atleast one night. Redken makes a great hairspry called WillPower, about $10. It will hold through a tornado. You can also use the Redken spray on dry hair with hot rollers or an iron, but be sure to use it both before and after curling. Good luck in the future pageants!
