Subject: CD Christmas Ornie Pics

I cant believe it is the middle of May and I am just getting these pics posted. I was messing around with some old unusable cd's and thought why not try to paint them and decorate them to make ornies. So I drilled a hole, added a hook, painted them a couple of coats of acrylic paint, sealed them added some accesories and this is what I got. Let me know what you think. I think I will do it again for this year. God bless DEBinOK

Hi Deb, I really liked you made-over CD's and it looks like I could try them, the embellishments really made them special! Hugs-Joann

The top four are just cheap wooden ornaments bought at Michaels for like 99 cents a piece maybe even cheaper. The second four are cheap sparkly christmas bows bought at Dollar Tree. Then I just glued them on after painting and sealing. With the sparkly ones I used glitter glue over the sealant and let it dry. I did use a Qtip dipped in paint to put the border on them also. Believe me I cant paint worth a hoot and if these were not simple I could not have done them. LOL God bless DEBinOK

I love them! They look great! I thought you had painted the top 4. I had no idea that they were ornaments. How creative.

Deb, those are spectacular!!
I also thought you painted the first set.:)
I esp love the sparkly ones. They could also be used as very fancy pkg directions.
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful idea with the rest of us.:)

What lovely ideas Deb, well done! I too thought you had painted the first ones.
I am always on the look out for ideas on recycling CD's.
I have used some lately to create Mother's Day gifts too, I will try and post some pics later.
Thanks for sharing.

Hugs
Doreen : )
