HHMM trying to think of how I could put together a tutorial to show how I did this. I guess I will have to take step by step pics. I took a two pack of styrofoam discs from dollar tree and tacky glued them together. First I used a hot knife to cut the slice out. Then I added the crushed potpourri with tacky glue. I am going to use a food processor next time to see if I can get it chopped finer. Then I did the sides in rose petals overlapping them to make it look more like frosting. I concentrate more on gluing down the top and bottom which allows the puckering to look more like frosting. Then I add the top rose petals the bigger ones to the top overlapping them on the sides just a bit again gluing down the tops and bottoms allowing them to pucker some. I come back to the top and use the thinner rose petals starting at the center to cover the center using about 6 petals gluing only the tops and bottoms. Then I take a bush of small flowers to decorate the edge, ribbon along the top of the side and lace along the bottom. I then decopage a paper doily to the candle plate and glue the cake down. I will work on putting together picture directions. They are fairly simple, not to expensive and the results are amazing. I used them to give away after the wedding and the comments were thrilling. Made my loss of sleep well worth it. LOL I did them in various colors and wish I could have got pics of the purple one it was my favorite. Thanks for the compliments ladies. Feel free to email me with any other questions I will do my best to answer it. God bless DEBinOK
