Subject: OT Recipe I concocted

The Taste of Home cooking school I atteneded was the "Entertaining Made Simple" or soething like that. In the goodie bag was a can of Stokes red chile sauce either with chicken or pork. Let me share what I did with my can.

In my crock pot I had about a pound or so cut up boneless chicken brest pieces, the can of cille sauce with chicken 1 can of diced tomatoes and green chiles and another can of diced tomatoes both about 15 ounces. To that I added a cut up yellow onion and green bell pepper and a little of the Southwestern seasoning from Pampered Chef. I just cooked on low about 7-8 hours until the chicken was fully cooked and flavors blended nicely. For supper I served it mixed in with a boil in bag of rice. It has just a little bit of spicy flavor but not really a lot.

I'm glad my DH wasn't the Only one that came uP with a concoction! LOL

Here's what he made and we enJoyed it too!

Microwave according to package, a container of Lloyd's BBQ shredded Pork, then add some Salsa and Mexican 4 cheese to it. Roll it all in a flour tortillia, topped with more Mexican 4 cheese and microwave it for about 45 seconds longer. Add lettuce after microwaving, if desired.
My DH's Concoction

Yours sounds good to Kritterno1.

You are making me hungry! I love sharing and getting new recipes, so I will share my "creation". I call it Chicken Salsa Pizza
1 pkg Pillsbury crescent rolls (kind in tube)
1 jar salsa
2-3 chicken breasts
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Sour Cream (optional)
1. Cook chicken with a little oil in skillet until done.
2. Drain chicken and shred into pieces
3. Place rolls in a 9" cake pan, forming a bottom crust. Be sure to overlap rolls and pinch seams.
4. Mix chicken and salsa.
5. Pour over crust.
6. Top with cheese.
7. Bake according to cresent roll directions (11-13 minutes)
8. Slice like a pizza and top with sour cream.

Now that sounds good although to make sure I really get the chicken cooked properly I'd probably throw in a crockpot and then shred it.

Anybody else got a recipe to add?

Mary
