Record companies often acquire material they don't already own and release it. It's part of what they do.

The fact is the record companies have provided us with almost nothing over the past decades, aside from a Dedication, a handful of b-sides and some radio broadcasts.

Bring on the expanded version of L&D, live work from Lizzy's earlier years or, better yet, how about a boxed set consisting entirely of top-grade live recordings of one of rock's foremost live acts.
