We are not the least bit afraid to go any place, a disco, a restaurant, a mall, or a Passover Seder, by car, bus or walking. We will be more careful than we wish we had to be, but we won't change or stop doing ANY thing we used to do before this mess began! People tend to forget that twice the casualties from terror get killed on the roads! More people still die from heart attack, cancer, and other things. They just don't show them on TV.
Don't get me wrong. There is a WAR going on, and it is not pleasant. But let's face it. WE HAVE NEVER BEEN BETTER!!!! It's only the TV and other news media that make people think it's the end of the world coming.

ONLY 60 YEARS AGO!!! The barbaric Europeans (not just the Germans) sent millions of Jews to their death like sheep to the slaughter! Generations of our people lost forever, the modern day 10 Lost Tribes. No country and no army of our own, and no other country willing to accept even a few thousand of the hundreds of thousands of persecuted Jewish refugees. Remember the few hundred on the "St. Louis"? Even our own homeland was closed to us by the British who were more concerned with Arab oil than human life. Closed to us not only during World War II, but for almost 3 years after the war was over.
55 YEARS AGO!!! Seven Arab countries (Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Libya and Saudi Arabia) declared war on the small Jewish state, which was only a few hours old, and attacked all at once with one aim - finish the Holocaust!!! Then we were only 650,000 Jews against the 65 million barbarians of the Arab world, who were heavily armed by the British with tanks, artillery and other modern weapons, while many of the few light arms which we had been able to accumulate to defend ourselves against the Mufti of Jerusalem's roving murderers were confiscated at every opportunity by the British. No IDF, no mighty air force, just tough and determined people with nowhere to go.
50 YEARS AGO!!! The Jewish people are united again!!! The Arab Inquisition begins. Operation Magic Carpet begins. Almost all Sephardic Jews, whose ancestors had lived peaceably in Arab countries for over 2,000 (and even 3,500) years, are expelled by the Arabs. Their homes, property and businesses were confiscated, and they were forced, with little more than the shirts on their backs, to leave the country where they had lived their whole lives. But, out of the misery came joy with their arrival in Israel. While many went to some other countries, we bring most of our Sephardic brethren to the land of Israel, to the land of their fathers, and we once again become one nation, one people, after 1,900 years of exile and separation.
35 YEARS AGO!!! The Arabs shut off our shipping lanes through international waters and mass their armies on our borders to attack us, so we had to fight the three strongest armies in the Middle East (Syria, Jordan and Egypt), and we wiped them out in six days. Despite their modern armies and masses of Russian/Soviet weapons, we win a brilliant victory. Jerusalem is united again and Jews can once again worship at the Western Wall, which the Arabs had desecrated by turning it into a garbage dump.
30 YEARS AGO!!! Again we have to fight the three strongest armies in the Middle East (Syria, Jordan and Egypt) after they sneak attacked us on the holiest day of the Jewish year, Yom Kippur, a day when all Jews worldwide refrain from any kind of work and devote the entire day to worship to God. (Remember how the Arabs/Muslims "cried" when the U.S.A. would not stop the war in Afghanistan during Ramadan?) We suffered many casualties, but in the end we gained the upper hand and totally defeated all of them.
15 YEARS AGO!!! The last large groups of oppressed Jews are at long last free again. The disintegration of the Soviet Union finally allows our Russian brethren to immigrate freely. And our Ethiopian brethren also get permission to leave. Earlier we had Operation Magic Carpet 2 and brought the rest of our brethren from Yemen. We spare no expense for the massive airlifts to bring them all to Israel to live in the land of their forefathers and reunite families.
TODAY!!! Our country still has a strong army and air force, and a hi-tech economy, exporting millions of dollars in technology and other products. Our modern country was started from scratch! We started out 55 years ago with next to nothing except a portion of the land of our forefathers, which was 65% desert because of the shameful neglect by the Bedouin Arabs. With determination and perseverance, we set out to build and make our land into the "Land of Milk and Honey" once again. And today it truly is once again the "Land of Milk and Honey."
Despite all our problems, our leaders and parents always insured that we received the best education possible and stressed to us the importance of being an open and progressive modern society. Intel-Microsoft-IBM develop their stuff here, our doctors win world prizes for medical developments, and our scientists likewise. We made the desert flourish, and we sell oranges and vegetables to the world.
And we give back to the world and our fellow man in many ways. We help those in need in poorer nations (yes, we have our version of the Peace Corps). We have been among the first in times of disaster to send emergency equipment, people and supplies to many countries, including the Muslim inhabitants of Russia, Bosnia and Turkey. Even though we don't need to be thanked for doing what our morals and religion require us to do, how do their fellow Muslims thank us? They call us racists.
Unfortunately, the International Red Cross unjustly will not admit our Red Magen David to their organization because of anti-Semites within their organization and the Arab members who object to our strictly humanitarian organization being a member. We do thank the U.S.A. Red Cross for its strong show of support by withholding its dues from the International Red Cross. But despite this, we do everything we can to provide humanitarian help to those less fortunate and to those in need.
Israel has its own satellites in space (three satellites all together)!!! We sit proudly with the U.S.A. (250 million people), Russia (200 million), China (1.1 billion), and the Europeans - France-England-Germany (350 million), as the only countries in the world to shoot something into space!!!
Israel today is in the world nuclear bomb family with the U.S.A., Russia, China, India, Pakistan, France, and England. We don't admit it, but every one knows... But we respect our position as a nuclear power, and we do not threaten others with their use as Pakistan does now, and like nuclear bomb wannabes, Iraq and Iran, which promise to use theirs against Israel and other "infidels" as soon as they get them.
To think that only 60 years ago, we were led, shamefully, with no hope, to our deaths!!! We crawled out of the burning ashes of Europe, we won our wars here with less than nothing in our hands and with absolutely no help from foreign soldiers, and we built a country out of nothing.
Let us not forget what the whole story is all about. We overcame Pharaoh, the Babylonians, the Persians, the Assyrians, the ancient Greeks, the Romans, the murderous genocide of the Jews during the Crusades by religious Christian fanatics, and the Spanish Inquisition. More recently, we overcame the pogroms in Russia and Poland, and Hitler and collaborating Europeans in the Holocaust. And just yesterday we overcame the massive armies of the Arab countries many times, and we will again and again, if necessary.
Ancient Egypt? Anyone know where their empire disappeared to? Alexander the Great and his Greek Empire? The Romans? Anyone today speak Latin? The Church and its Papal States armies? Is the Pope today more than a religious leader and symbol? The Holy Roman Empire? Does anyone even know where the Empire was located? The Spanish Empire? Found any gold coins lately on the ocean floor? The Third Reich? Anyone heard any news about its armies lately? And look at us, the nation from and of the Bible, from our ancestors in slavery in Egypt to our brethren in Israel and many other countries today, we are still here, speaking the same language!!!
Right here, right now!!!
No matter at what part of human history you try to think of, for us, the Jewish people, our situation has never been better!!! So let's lift our heads high, and remember: any nation or culture that tried to mess around with us was eventually destroyed to the ground - while we kept going!!!
We know that because of the fanatical government sponsored and ordered barbaric, hate-filled, anti-Semitic and anti-modern world propaganda the Arabs learn in their schools, hear on their radios, read in their newspapers, hear in their mosques, and teach their children in their homes, the Arabs cannot presently be a true part of the modern world. That is, at least until the Arabs are fully reeducated to believe and do believe in the morals the modern world accepts as true, which by no accident also happen to be the morals that we, the Jewish people, gave to the modern world. The modern world will not tolerate and kowtow to the barbaric Arabs forever. The oil will run out very soon, and with it the Western world's blackmailed tolerance and patience.
Most importantly, the Arabs don't know it yet, but they will learn there is but one God, God holds every human life as precious and important, God will remember each innocent man, woman, child and infant that is murdered, and He will exact His just punishment on each and every murderer. Never forget that there will be true justice and that those who are truly evil will answer for it in the highest of courts.
So who the hell is Mr. Arafat and his barbaric followers to make me scared? Terrified? They make me laugh! They have learned nothing of the modern world, and they refuse to end the pagan and barbaric ways of their forefathers, Genghis Kahn and his Mongols. Rest assured that they will go the way of their ancestors and will be judged in the end.
So, sorry for not worrying, bitching, crying, or being scared, but I know that things are going OK here. They surely can get better, and with our faith and perseverance they will. So don't fall for the media junk. They won't tell you that there are festivals going on, people living their lives, going out, seeing friends, raising families. Yes, our morale is low. So what? It's only because we weep for our dead while they enjoy the blood. This is the same reason why we will win, after all, and they will lose as all of their predecessors of evil have lost in the past.
And never forget that Jews all over the world are an important part of our strength. They should always keep their heads up high and be proud. So even if you do not live in Israel, it is still extremely important to never forget who you are and whence you came, and to teach your children those lessons. Think BIG. Always remember your ancestral roots and remember that your brothers and sisters are here in Israel and are with you always. Never forget: as long as we keep our identity, we are eternal.
So take it easy, folks, we will overcome these barbarians too.
