>Favorite fanfic...hmmmm...can't pick just one. The first B/S fanfic I ever read was Annie Sewell-Jennings' "Illumination", followed by "Incandescence", and those two beauties remain among my favorites, being sweet yet thoroughly plausible explorations of Buffy's recognition of her true feelings for Spike and how she acts upon them. Of late, Mary's incredible, epic retelling of Season 6, "Journeys", immediately placed itself among the tops on my list, as well as Nan Dibble's awesome "Blood" series starting w/"Old Blood" and continuing through "Blood Rites" (WIP); these stories include perhaps the best-ever characterization and explanation of vampire ways - unvarnished and undeniably gritty, perfectly believable without (further) demonizing vampires in general and Spike in particular. (Note - I've often felt that judging vampires by human standards is unfair and unrealistic, and so, apparently, does this amazing author.) All of these are well worth the time required for reading them - B/S fans should love them for their high-quality writing and accurate character portrayals.

For me Shadow Lynn Parker who just killed herself by the way, wrote the best sensual scenes in book history and she has that sales to prove it. Next the guy that writes about mobsters Bob D Caterino. His gangster books are better then Puzzo. The third choice would have to be King. They all are the best at what they do.
