I looked it up on the internet Marlan Deen plead guilty to section 342 not 324 which is theft over 300 dollars. Thanks.

I stand corrected. However consider the following. My opponent made a lot of noise about my association with Mr. Deen. "It's troubling for a candidate for state's attorney to make political allies of convicted criminals,..." What is disingeneous is that my opponent had a repeat offender attended a fundraiser for him this summer. What is worse is that the repeat offender had another criminal trial pending at the time. If it is troubling for a candidate for state's attorney to associate with criminals, how does that bode for the sitting state's attorney. Not to mention the hypocrisy of my opponent's statements.

Be that as it may, both our supporters are trying to put their problems behind them. They both are obviously interested in the political process. Given the low voter turnout in the County in the recent primary election (one of the lowest in the State) they should be commended, not ridiculed.
