Subject: Neither Will Louis Hennessy
In reply to: Mary 's message, "Len Collins does not sentence criminals" on 13:22:44 10/01/02 Tue

I'm not a Maryland State Resident...only an extremely concerned citizen in the U.S. about children's rights and victim's rights...and that is why I am posting on Mr. W. Louis Hennessy's Forum tonight.

The first thing that any eligible voter should concern themselves with when attempting to decide about a DA that is going to be prosecuting for his or her community and the victims of that community particularly when it comes to domestic violence and child abuse is "who has the best experience"...? AND who is the most honest and forthright in their support of the morals, and values and position of the State Attorney General's Office as well as publically published positions of the Govenor...?

Since Mr. Hennessy has only been an attorney since 1997 (Heavens 5 years legally barred as an attorney in the State of Maryland...is a mere neophyte in the system) then I hardly believe that he has the needed experience to represent the County as a District Attorney and adequately be a presence for the victims and the victim's family members that he or she is by oath committed to represent.

During that 5 years of sanctioned practice...Hennessey spent it as a "Defense Attorney" (sharks of their own accounting) including his plea for cases as is represented in his 2000 "ad" in the Diamondback Student Newspaper:

http://www.inform.umd.edu/News/Diamondback/00-03-09/600.html

or

His internet request for referrals through...

Martindale...

http://lawyers.martindale.com/xp/Martindale/Lawyer_Locator/Search_Lawyer_Locator/firmnum.xml?ti=1&num=970970001

Then of course....we have his less than dubious activities with the FBI in the investigation and subsequent attacks on the DC Chief of Police....Larry D. Soulsby...who even as of September 24,2002 he was still doing battle with in the DC District Court of Appeals...!

If you look at only one case alone...

PARTIED OUT Oct. 29-Nov. 4, 1999 and I quote....

Two months before the Butera killing, then-Police Chief Larry D. Soulsby sacked 17 homicide supervisors for their complicity in the unit's drooping closure rate, which stood at 42 percent, well below the national standard of 65 percent. Soulsby hailed the move as a painful but necessary measure for a reformist chief. "I do not enjoy having to do this," he told the Washington Post after the Sept. 17 firings. "But we felt compelled to make changes, and I do so with a heavy heart." Soulsby's overseers, control board member Stephen Harlan and consultants with Booz-Allen Hamilton Inc., applauded the step.

Ex-Homicide Cmdr. Lou Hennessy, however, says the shake-up ousted all the officers equipped to prevent bungled operations like the Butera tragedy. "It's like firing all your brain surgeons, then hiring a team of general surgeons to handle all your brain surgery," says Hennessy. Many of the purged detectives, says Hennessy, worked under his command in 1994, when Homicide turned in a respectable 55 percent closure tally. Soulsby, of course, later transferred Hennessy from Homicide after a dispute over a high-profile murder case.

Tisk Tisk....Hennessy didn't get his "gold award" for attacking a public servant who was trying to clean up the DC Police Department....instead...he worked even harder to have him forced into resignation....! I have the stories of his personal vendeta against Soulsby all of them.

Hennessy has taken campaign funds from the "Freedom4Nancy" organization and it's members who do not possess an IRS 501c3 non-profit corporation status, but have been soliciting funds through sales of products, donations and other avenues...and not paying sales tax or reporting to the state of Maryland their activities.

There are photographs on the "Freedom4Nancy.com" website of Hennessy speaking publically in support of a convicted perpetrator of child abuse.

The Brookbank cult have supported, promoted and forced the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department as Well as the D.C. Engine Company that the Husband of the Perp is an employee of to link to and support the "freedom4Nancy" Group.

This is a total violation of the "public services act" and represents major criminal potential. Links to state, county and public services are on this site and is an issue that is of major public concern...however Hennessy doesn't care...as he doesn't care about "victims" in his jurisdiction. Makes for a great prosecutor don't you all think....?

Louis Hennessy needs to get his priorities straight. He needs to look at who is the focus of his activities particularly if he is stepping up to the plate and professing to be a "state and victims advocate"...he hasn't shown any track record in that arena...and particularly of late....allowing himself to be aligned with criminals and and criminal support groups in his own community.

I think that Mary Caldrone said it best..."his side of beef was easily purchased....and he really doesn't care about his victim constituants...if you don't have the money...or you are less than "upper class" (or don't have campaign funds) in his eyes...the judicial system isn't going to be in your court...!

He wants control and he will allow perpetrators and their organizations to control the actions of the court, the DA's office, the State Attorney General's Office as well as the govenor....don't let the Dark Horse tread on an innocent baby's life....Jack Sprague is sentenced to life...his perp will be out in 5 years...where is the justice....?

Hennessy, Glendening, and all of the other Maryland individuals responsible for justice....should be courageous and stand up for what is right....never should Nancy Brookbank be released before her full sentencing is served..because she isn't the victim...little Jack Sprague is.....!

Much of your post is confusing but I will respond to what I can. First, yes I have advertised in the newspaper and other places like the phone book. I think if you look you may find more than just my name advertised there. Advertising by attorneys is authorized in D.C. and Maryland where I am licensed to practice.

I noticed that you refer to my dispute with Mr. Soulsby. Yes, I had a problem with Mr. Soulsby and I had nothing to do with his resignation. I only wish I could take credit for that. I believe it had more to do with the fact he and his roommate had fraudently obtained a luxury apartment in the District. It may have also had something to do with his roommate extorting money from citizens. Then Soulsby lying to the City Council and denying a relationship with his roommate.

The FBI probe you speak of was that of Mr. Soulsby interfering with a murder investigation where the suspect was an aide to his boss, Marion Barry. The probe continues. I will continue to assist the FBI in their probe. All I want to see is justice.

Mr. Soulsby's transfers you spoke of probably cost an innocent person his life. If you remember correctly the city had a judgment against it for $98 million dollars as a result of Mr. Soulsby's lack of leadership. If you believe Mr. Soulsby was trying to clean up the police department, you must be referring to him trying to clear out every decent cop. He did a good job. The agency has never recovered.

With respect to your allegation that the Freedom4Nancy group making a donation to my campaign there is no truth to that at all. Go on line and you can see where every dime I raised originated, something my opponent does not bother to share with the elections board.

The only photograph of me addressing the Freedom4Nancy group would have been when I told them how difficult child abuse cases are to investigate and prosecute. That I did not have the facts of the case and could not offer an opinion as to her guilt or innocence. If you interpert that as being in support of her you need to redefine "support".

Finally, yes I do have a law suit pending in the D.C. Court of Appeals against Mr. Soulby and the D.C. Government. I ask that you follow the case carefully, you will get the facts.

In closing, you mention my honesty. I was not the one who mislead the Fraternal Order of Police to gain their endorsement last August. I was not the one who practiced hypocrisy in September, 2002.
