I agreed with attacking Afganistan - I wasn't much aware of the US political background then, but I probably too would have agreed with what I know now - because of the following reasons:
- al Quaida forces located there were an obvious threat
- the Taliban were a terror regime, and I doubt it was possible to get rid of them in a peaceful way
- it was supported worldwide, most important even by islamic counties, this way the negative side effects, boosting islamic fundamentalism etc. were minimized.

The Taliban regime was result of the Sowjet invasion - and this again provoked by US activities. So it actually is the responsibility of the ones who caused the trouble to help Afghani people to get back to 'normal'.

Saddams regime too had to be eliminated in the interest of the people there. I don't think this would have been possible without war, because of the way he had managed to establish it since last Gulf war. I don't think to assasinate him or similar stuff would have worked.
However though in the interest of Iraqis this should have been done as soon as possible, to do it now, and the way the US started and handled the stuff, was disastrous.

First thing required would have been to engage in solving the Palestine conflict. There the US could have proved that they respect Arabs. What seems to happen, to make Israel remove the illegal settlements, was possible at any time.
Another thing required would have been to at least make the attempt to change international law, including the US joining international court. Actually eliminatining terror regimes is a police action and this has to be backed up by laws. It's pretty much same as national police activities. Then the focus should have been on Saddams regime as terror regime, proves were abundant.
I guess this way again international agreement and cooperation would have been available.

Somewhat like this. However this obviously didn't match the US intentions. The US course is towards hegemony and according to this the Iraq matter was handeled.
