WELL SAID......... about time that someone really makes sense. Unfortunly I was out-of-town and did not read the article (but will make apoint to get it read..

As for the city giving them something.... These players get everything....Housing, food, school (including college tution and all material needed), sponcor and a paycheck (somewhere around $200/wk) just to play hockey here. (I'm not aware of many teens and early 20-years that make this amount - Now grant it they have games and practice through out a 5-mouth period, but that is NO DIFFERENCT then anyone else who plays sports in this area - WHAT WERE THEY THINKING)So where does these funds come from....hum lets see....Maybe the paying public....

One more issuse that I do not understand...This were do the freebies that sit in section 4 get served acholo knowing that they are under 21...before christmas I show Summer which is only 20ish with 2 beers at the game. Now Summer first was not alone drinking but she is the only one that I have a name/face to go together, however, she is now yet 21 which is still the legal drinking age in PA, 2ndly she most likly was a guest of one of the players therefore she should have been on her best behavior.. Now the issue is where did she get served? the staff from the civic center or somewhere else...next knowing that she is underage, drinking and driving home...how or why was she not confronted by the ushers or rent a cop that she walked past at least twice........Getting tough needs to hit several area soon before something tragic happens....

I hope this does not fall on deaf ears
