I'm having that same battle with them as we speak. I have never had to do that in another car either. My transmission failed with no indication on my 2001 Spectra. They are saying that they will not honor my warranty and quoted me a price of $1900. The car probably is not even worth that much! I'm launching a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
