I'm sorry to hear about any loss of life in automobile accidents. There's a lot of it that happens on the roadways of the U.S. According to the Insurance Information Institute, in 2004, 42,636 people died in motor vehicle crashes.

Obviously the majority of those people were NOT driving KIA's or Hyundai's based solely on the amount of non-K/H branded cars there are on the road.

So.... what is the point of this thread? That every car maker that has a driver or passenger killed in one of their cars should go out of business?

I think that anyone who thinks that Hyundai/KIA is going to dry up and blow away are seriously deluding themselves.... regardless of the supposed plethora of crappily built cars in the past.

Remember that Honda's and Toyota's were also scoffed at as "Jap junk" at one point, and we all know how that one ended.

Read the following link before assuming that the diatribes on this board are representative of the future of H/K.
