I have had ALL of the same issues you have just mentioned!!! I purchased a brand new 2005Kia from Shortline Kia in Aurora, CO. After 2000 miles my auto transmiton starting shifting on its own, is also got to a point where it would accelerate unless I came to a complete stop. After taking it in to the deal I was told they couldn’t find an issue, I took it back again! Finally they told me that they had a computer programming issue with ALL, yes ALL 2005 Sorentos and were working on the issue(I was told could take a week, could take 6 moths). A few months later they sent a tech from Corp. to reprogram my car, this made is worse! To this day it shifts horrible. During this whole process my blower motor went out, left in the middle of summer with no AC, my keys were lost at the dealer , my car was keyed and the passenger side air bag sensor was nor coming on when a passenger was in the vehicle!

After fighting with KIA they offered a replacement, while the paper work was being worked out they let me drive this replacement. While at a concert in the mountains the transmission on this NEW 2006 drop and left me and my husband stranded in the mountains for hours waiting on someone to get us and the vehicle. While they were working on the replacement and my original car I was given a rental, and weeks later I was sent a bill from Shortline for this rental! We NEVER paid this and Shortline finally took ownership of bill, as they should have!

All said and done Shortline will no longer service my vehicle and I do not trust them! I am still in the process a buy back /trade in option with Kia, this process has taken months and still not resolved. If we do the buy back option I would pay Kia over $8000. I will most likely take the trade and pay this car off ASAP and walk away from this telling everyone I can NEVER NEVER buy a Kia. Not only do they sell poorly made vehicles, they have horrible customer service and do not value there customers.

Anyone buying a Kia please read as many reviews as possible you will find some wierdo’s who love there KIA, but you will find twice as many who all have had horrible issues!
