Subject: 2003 Sedona falling apart

We were thrilled with our Sedona until it started falling apart at the 75,000 km mark. First, couldn't replace the gas filter, because it rusted into the gas tank. Whole gas tank had to be replaced. Daytime running light module blew, taking out the headlights, and tail lights. Then, had to have 3 coolant lines replaced because they had corroded right through. Have had the car checked 4 times for a thin, metallic rattle from the engine compartment everytime I accelerate. Kia says it's a natural inherent noise in all Kia Sedonas. Funny how it appeared after my gas mileage bottomed out, and van started running rough. They refuse to address it any further. Next, suspension problems causing loud thunking when driving over bumps. Again, Kia says this is a normal noise for the Kia. New rattling, grinding noise in engine when starting cold engine. Again, Kia says it's fine. What a piece of crap! If these problems are normal for Sedonas, then they're built to be pieces of crap that only last 3 years. I suggest everyone of us with problems, puts a "NEVER BUYING KIA AGAIN" sign in our rear windows. That'll definitely get the message out. Oh Yeah, when I asked the service guy at Kia if anything else under my car looked corroded after they replaced the coolant lines, he said that he doesn't know. They only fix what's broken, KIA doesn't pay them to 'look' at anything else. Nice Service eh?
