Subject: like my kia

I too also heard all the horror stories about the KIAs butt it was mostly on the older models. So in 2002 I purchased a brand new optima with only 14 miles on it (most were my own test drive). Since then, I have had a couple small problems on it: new alternator(free of charge), door molding problems(free of charge) and minor dealer damage9also fixed free of charge). My only real complaint is that if you do need parts, such as a battery like me, it is not covered after 18mths and costs $125 anywhere not just at the dealer. The dealership I go to, VINELAND NJ, offers a free oil change and a full tank of gas if you take it in for anything other than routine service, which with gas prices is awesome. Overall, I think KIAs have come a long way and there are problems with every type of new car, but they eventually work the kinks out.
