>Poor promo? You have to be nuts. I saw Bob everywhere - MuchMusic, the front page of the Globe and Mail, Bravo, The Star, The Sun, a GREAT review in Eye, and that's not counting the ads in Now and Eye... Although I'm a huge fan, and loved the show, I was dead on as to how many people there would be there - honestly, now, - a lot of my friends don't even know he hasn't done anything since Live Aid, frankly, and don't care to spend $40 on tickets unless it's Bon Jovi or other crap spewing from the radio these days.

Each concert I go to these days has less and less casual fans and more hardcore fans - it's getting to be expensive to see shows, so it's not like tickets were $5 and anyone with a curosity factor would go, if only to see the "Live Aid" Geldof.

If I was in the media, I'd love to sit and talk with him and do an interview, but it seems in looking around at the stories online and posted here, Bob's time on this tour has been very small and I'm sure he can't do all the requests that come in.

At least we fans knew he was coming and saw one great show!

Yeh. Poor promo on the locals parts.

People I spoke to at the show felt they'd found out by accident and were lucky to be looking in the right place or they'd have missed him. I found out because the original booking at the Music Hall got listed in the Festival Cinemas schedule at the beginning of September.

The newspaper articles, right up to show day, kept saying he was playing the Music Hall, not the Palais Royale. Only the 1/12 page ad in Now seemed to have it right.

I just wonder how many more hard cores there were that either showed up at the Music Hall or found out too late to come. It just seems to me the concert didn't get the same advanced coverage as some of Bob's contemporaries' shows have gotten.
