Subject: Storm

My nature tells me to make amends,
But whether I can it all depends,
The lightening flashes; the thunder screams,
It disturbs my harmonious dreams,

I lay awake to hear the storm,
And somehow it makes me tired and forlorn,
The noises that force me to toss and turn,
Maybe the storm will never learn,

I watch the streets; the silence ongoing,
All you can hear is the water flowing,
And the thunder roaring; it wakes the dead,
The loud striking pounds at my head,

I know it is time to forgive,
To move on, there’s a life to live,
I speak aloud, I let it go,
The storm now knows the way to it’s home
