Yes, nobody worried about drugs, they weren't illegal until after my father was born. It really hasn't been that long and I've never seen the necessity of saving people from themselves with this "burn the village to save it" business. But this is not about either safety or drugs, this is about punishment before you even get charged. It's about making jail an uncomfortable experience to such an extreme that we will cooperate without going to jail. IMHO, its far more likely to result in simple hate for government that has no respect for dignity of the citizens.
